Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 380

Drusilla said, "I've had enough. I'm not going to keep pretending everything's fine."

"But you're still upset, aren't you?"

He could see it in her eyes.

Drusilla turned to Enoch, "Do you really expect me to just smile and accept your gifts and pretend yesterday never happened? Enoch, I'm a person, not some object. Am I not allowed to have my own feelings?"

Enoch responded, "Look, Lilith's situation has everyone on edge. I genuinely regret what happened. But Drusilla, I'm not here because I have nothing better to do. I'm here because I don't want you to be upset. When have you ever seen me do something so pointless?"

"Then why are you doing something so pointless now?" Drusilla shot back, a cold smile playing on her lips.

As soon as she said it, Enoch's patience snapped, and he hurled the cup he was holding against the wall in frustration.

Oberon, who was busy organizing things, jumped at the noise. Serge, sitting nearby, froze, shocked by Enoch's outburst.

Drusilla held her breath, her eyes fixed on him, but she didn't say a word.

Enoch was furious. From the moment he walked in, her attitude hadn't changed. It felt like no matter what he did, it wouldn't alter her opinion of him in the slightest.

He cared about her deeply, yet it seemed he couldn't compete with Serge or even her phone. Taking a deep breath, he said, "Fine, I'm the fool, okay? I must have been blind to fall for you! Damn it!"

He was genuinely angry.

He didn't know what he was doing wrong. He didn't know what else he could do.

Maybe he just wasn't good enough.

Oberon approached, "Mr. Taylor."

It was rare to see Enoch so enraged, and had he really just heard Enoch curse?

"We're leaving!" Enoch glanced at Drusilla and said, "Since Ms. Lawson clearly doesn't want to see me, you don't need to come back to the Taylor family! I must have been blind, right?"

With that, he spun his wheelchair around, and Oberon wheeled him out the door.

He was angry, but he also understood why she was upset.

Serge was taken aback by Enoch's admission. "It's good you know."

He'd been worried Enoch might misunderstand his relationship with Drusilla.

Enoch looked up at him, "Do you also think I'm being ridiculous? Like I can't find someone else, that it has to be her?"

"Of course not," Serge assured him. "If you want, I can introduce you to someone any time. There are plenty of women who'd love to be with you!"

But ever since Odette left, no one else seemed to catch his interest.

Who would've thought Mr. Taylor would end up falling for Drusilla?

Enoch sighed, "Forget it, I'm heading back. Since you're here, keep her company, alright? She trusts you. Unlike me... she doesn't want to hear anything I have to say."
