After taking her medication, she fell asleep swiftly that night.
In the dead of night, while she was dozing in and out of consciousness, Enoch was still awake, occasionally checking on her to make sure her fever hadn't spiked again.
When she opened her eyes, she saw Enoch, who had just been looking after her, settling down beside her.
Turning to face him, she murmured, "Enoch."
Hearing her awake, he glanced at her and asked, "What's up? Need some water?"
With that, he reached for a glass of water from the nightstand and handed it to her.
Drusilla took a sip and grimaced; despite being clear water, it tasted bitterly in her mouth, making her wonder if she would be able to eat anything the next day.
After finishing the water, Drusilla realized she was drenched in sweat.
Enoch, noticing her discomfort, softly said, "Try to get some sleep."
Looking at his tender expression, Drusilla couldn't help but tease, "Sometimes, I can't tell if you're a saint or a sinner!"
Enoch was taken aback, "Why would you think that? Don't I seem like a good guy?"
He believed he had been quite good to her, yet she doubted his intentions.
He looked at Drusilla and asked, "What did I do to make you uncomfortable?"
Drusilla replied, "So, you mean to say you'd change if I thought you were doing something wrong?"
Caught off guard, Enoch said, "Well, then tell me, what am I doing wrong?"
She couldn't really pinpoint anything. Staring back at Enoch, she said, "Besides taking advantage of me now and then, everything else is fine."
Enoch retorted, "Not sure who's taking advantage of whom, here."
