Twins - The Unforeseen Legacy of My Ex's Uncle-in-Law novel Chapter 258

Enoch watched her in silence, offering no words.

Just then, someone knocked on the door.

Drusilla quickly stood up and said, "I'll just pop to the restroom."

She hid in the bathroom.

Oberon entered. Spotting Enoch, he said, "Mr. Taylor."

"What's the matter?" Enoch asked.

"Miss Lilith has had an accident," Oberon replied, worry etched across his face.

"What happened to her?" Enoch looked towards Oberon.

"She just fainted as she was coming downstairs, and we've just taken her back to her room."

"Did you call the doctor?"

"Yes, Cybele has already called the doctor."

Drusilla emerged from the restroom, having regained her composure, and upon hearing Oberon's news, asked, "Is she alright?"

Fainted? That sounded concerning.

Oberon said, "It's unclear at the moment. I just came to inform you."

"Shall we go check on her?" Drusilla looked at Enoch.

Knowing Enoch, despite his usual cold demeanor towards Lilith, this was his niece after all, and he was quite concerned about her.

Enoch nodded. "Yeah."

Oberon wheeled Enoch out of the room, with Drusilla following them to Lilith's room. Harlan was seated by the bed, holding Lilith's hand, visibly worried.

Drusilla looked on silently.

"I said, she's pregnant."

Hearing this, the skepticism in Harlan's eyes swiftly turned to excitement—Lilith was pregnant!

She was really pregnant! For Harlan, previously believed to be infertile, this news was undeniably more thrilling than if he had landed a multimillion-dollar deal.

He couldn't contain his excitement, grabbing his phone to step aside and making a call, "Mom, Lilith is pregnant! I'm going to be a dad!"

Drusilla stood by, watching Harlan's reaction, reminded of when she had been pregnant and how he had reacted similarly, eager to tell the whole world he was going to be a father. He had been so happy then!

But later, he told her the children weren't his and forced her to terminate the pregnancy, destroying the hope those two children had brought her.

A pang of sorrow surged within her, and even though years had passed, witnessing such a scene still made Drusilla's heart ache.

Ignoring the Taylor family's joy, she quietly slipped away.

Enoch looked up, only to find she had disappeared down the corridor.
