## Chapter 26: What Do You Want to Do to Me?
“Why?” Camren’s eyes were dark and deep.
“Because…” Britney paused before continuing, “I’m not good enough for you.”
“I’ll make you another gift sometime–it’ll be better and more fitting for you.” As soon as Britney finished. speaking, she picked up the box, and without even a glance, handed it to a maid. “Could you please throw
this out for me?”
“Yes, ma’am.”
“Let’s eat,” Britney said, her mood much brighter, as she sat back down at the dining table.
“Alright!” The darkness in Camren’s eyes slowly faded.
Despite Britney’s objections, she and Camren didn’t go on a honeymoon. However, Camren insisted on taking his wedding leave and brought Britney to a resort.
This resort was incredibly private, offering a ton of activities like horseback riding, archery, hot springs, golf, wine tasting, hiking, and fishing. Each activity even had VIP private spaces, guaranteeing guests wouldn’t be
disturbed.
Camren gave Britney a quick tour to get her familiar with the grounds, then they checked into a three–story
villa at the very back of the resort.
The villa was deliberately designed to mimic European architecture, giving it a fairytale castle vibe.
Britney pushed open the balcony window and took a deep breath, inhaling the earthy scent of nature.
A small smile played on her lips…
“Like it?” Camren stood behind her, watching her spread her arms like a bird flying free from its cage.
“I love it,” Britney nodded honestly. “It’s beautiful here, definitely a great place for a getaway.”
“Then we should stay a while longer,”
“Maybe not,” Britney shook her head.
“Why?”
“Too expensive.”
“Huh?” Camren was puzzled.

“It’s your time that’s too valuable.” Spending millions a day, Britney wouldn’t dare waste Camren’s time.
Camren’s lips curved slightly. “It’s fine. I have enough wealth to support a family, so feel free to use up my
time.”
“Besides, you look easy to take care of.”
“What makes you say that?” Britney looked at the beautiful scenery, carefully counting on her fingers. “I love eating all sorts of good food, and I love collecting all kinds of gemstones for designs.”
“You know, I once bought a gorgeous emerald at an auction. It was a deep, mysterious green that drew you
in, just like…”
Britney was speaking excitedly when she turned around and realized Camren had moved behind her at some
point. They were incredibly close.
His long, strong arm was Propped on the railing beside her, practically enclosing her in his embrace. She
could clearly hear the steady, powerful beat of his heart.
She tipped her head slightly, meeting his deep eyes–so much like the emerald she treasured…
Ever since she agreed to make Camren a gift, she’d been wondering what kind of item could possibly be
worthy of him.
Finally, she thought of that emerald. Like Camren, it possessed a chilling aloofness that kept people at bay, yet it irresistibly drew others to get closer, to explore.
Camren lifted a hand, brushing away Britney’s wind–tousled hair. His fingers seemed to accidentally graze her cheek, sending a warm shiver through her.
Her heart rate actually quickened a bit. She instinctively wanted to step back, but the cool railing was behind
her.
“Are you still afraid of me?” Camren’s hand paused its movement.
“No,” Britney shook her head.
“Really?” Camren raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced.
“I’m just a little bit unaccustomed…” Britney held up two fingers, indicating a tiny gap.
“Then get used to it,” Camren said, assertively taking her small hand and placing it on his waist.
Camren was on vacation, wearing only a thin casual shirt, its hem neatly tucked into his pants, outlining his well–trained physique.
Britney could feel his body heat and the distinct muscle lines beneath his clothes.
It was easy to imagine that Camren had a model’s figure, and her cheeks instantly flushed crimson…

“Getting more used to it?” Camren’s voice whispered in her ear, almost like an enchantment. “Want to try getting a little more used to it…?”
“…” Britney’s fingers twitched.
Camren cooperated, taking another half step forward, his large hand guiding Britney’s small hand to wander
across his waist.
Britney found this kind of “getting used to” a bit thrilling, making her a little scared, yet unable to resist wanting to explore further.
“Cam!” Just then, Nelson suddenly appeared at the doorway, with Benjamin and Amaya trailing behind him.
“We’re here too! Where’s our sister–in–law?”
Britney’s previously hazy eyes instantly cleared. She snatched her hand away, but then didn’t know where to
put it.
She was so mortified that she stumbled around like a headless chicken, trying to escape, nearly tripping over
her own shoes and falling.
