Chapter 24 Hoping Amelia Was Safe

They were all praying Amelia was safe–otherwise the production team would face serious consequences.

Just as the rescue team prepared to move out, commotion erupted at the cave entrance.

There stood Amelia, completely soaked, holding the production crew’s hidden “treasure.”

Everyone froze, as if time itself had stopped.

Gianna’s face turned deathly pale, her lips quivering uncontrollably. “A–Amelia? How did you …

It was like seeing a ghost!

Hadn’t Amelia plummeted off that cliff? How was she still breathing?

Gianna’s eyes went wide with shock, as if she was staring at something supernatural.

“Disappointed I didn’t die? Sorry to burst your bubble, Gianna.” Amelia gave a cold sneer and handed the “treasure” to the director.

The director examined it with a broad smile. “This is incredible! Finding something this well–hidden. I thought none of you would complete this mission.”

The island was huge, and he’d hidden the “treasure” along the cliff face. That jungle was so dense you’d need eagle eyes to find

  1. it.

Amelia smiled while shooting a cold glance at Gianna. “Yeah, if someone hadn’t pushed me off the cliff, I never would have discovered this ‘treasure.”

Hearing this, Gianna started shaking like a leaf.

Damn it! Why couldn’t that bitch just stay dead?

But she had no proof, so there was nothing she could do.

As long as she didn’t admit to anything, she’d be fine.

Kristina saw Amelia return and hugged her with tears in her eyes.

“Amelia, thank God you’re fine.”

Amelia patted her shoulder, offering comfort.

Patricia and Bella were also thrilled, genuinely happy for Amelia.

Thank goodness.

Despite the storm, they were all safe and sound.

Bella suddenly remembered Amelia’s earlier words. She frowned and asked, “Amelia, you said someone pushed you? What happened?”

Patricia caught on fast, turning to look at Gianna. “Was it you? Amelia risked the storm to save you, but you stabbed her in the back?*

Gianna flinched and quickly defended herself. “No, I didn’t push Amelia. She accidentally fell.”

Gianna’s eyes darted around nervously, afraid to make eye contact with anyone.

Seeing her reaction, the others could piece together what really went down.

What a backstabber!

A cold smile played at Amelia’s lips. She had no proof, but watching Gianna squirm was satisfying enough.

Gianna only acted so reckless because there was no live stream.
