Not only that, he acts like some stud, running around fathering kids everywhere. If I don’t keep my guard up. Vincent’s spot as heir could get snatched by one of his father’s illegitimate children!
“Mom. I really don’t want to marry Gianna…
”
“Enough, don’t bring it up again. You’re tied to Gianna for life!”
Before Vincent could finish his sentence, Diana cut him off.
She already had bigger and better plans in mind.
Maybe Gianna didn’t have Amelia’s skills, but she sure was lucky.
No matter how many times she made trouble, she always had a group of brothers to cover for her, and even Emery and Raymond cared about her.
Emery had said that Raymond would soon bring Gianna into the Nygard Group to gain some experience, and he would place her in a department with real authority.
Sometimes Diana honestly wondered if Gianna was actually Raymond’s secret daughter. Otherwise, how could he treat an adopted girl even better than his own child?
A lot of people in their social circle probably thought the same thing.
She’d secretly hired paparazzi to investigate, and nothing unusual ever turned up.

“And don’t forget, Gianna will join the Nygard Group soon. The Nygards spoil her, and they’ll never let her throw her future away for nothing.”
At this point, there really weren’t any better choices left. Gianna was the best option.
If they called off another engagement, no powerful family would ever want to marry their daughter into this mess.
“Yeah, I get it.”
Vincent wanted to argue, but he couldn’t find a single flaw in his mom’s logic.
In the end, he could only slink back to his room, feeling miserable.
Even though everything she’d said was right, he still felt obsessed with Amelia. He just couldn’t let her go.
What a petty, grudge–holding jerk!
Vincent complained to himself, then finally grumbled out loud, “Let’s grab a bite. I need to talk.”
“Please. If you just want to vent, say so. Otherwise, what’s left for us to talk about?”
