Who’s the Dog Now? novel Chapter 145

Patricia’s eyes sparkled as she snapped photos with her phone.

She kept marveling at how the pictures needed no editing, declaring them absolutely perfect.

Naomi started to feel a little shy under Patricia’s exaggerated praise.

“It’s not that great.”

“It’s amazing everywhere,” Patricia gushed. “Naomi, I finally figured out why you’ve always felt so familiar to me. I used to think you were my long-lost sister-in-law, but now I realize you’re from a different era.”

“This whole look is just… perfect!”

“If a director saw you, he’d be captivated! He’d be kneeling at your doorstep, begging you to be in his next film!”

Naomi was speechless.

That was a bit much.

The shop assistants were giggling at Patricia’s antics. Tired of her friend's over-the-top compliments, Naomi quickly paid and dragged her out of the store.

The two of them turned quite a few heads on the street.

But they didn’t have time to be self-conscious. They hailed a cab and went straight to the university.

The event hall had been set up temporarily, but thanks to sponsorships from seniors like Mr. Hughes and Mr. Jones, it looked like a full-blown party venue.

There was a buffet, drinks, and fresh flowers flown in just for the occasion.

The atmosphere was incredible. As people arrived, they couldn't stop gushing, “This is a huge production!” and “You could film a dating show here and it wouldn’t look out of place.”

Zebulon, one of the main sponsors, was lounging on a sofa in the break room, taking all the credit while chatting idly with Carter and a few others.

“I don’t get you. You asked Naomi to be your date, so why did you call Tiffany over?”

Just ten minutes earlier, Tiffany had rushed in, and Zebulon had immediately arranged for an entire team of stylists to do her hair and makeup and help her pick a gown.

Anyone who knew about it was envious of how Mr. Hughes was spoiling her.
