Naomi had thought so, too.
But to her surprise, it seemed Zebulon was determined to apologize properly this time.
For an entire week, Naomi was bombarded with his apologetic gestures.
As Zebulon's efforts threatened to become a spectacle for the whole campus, Naomi had no choice but to request a leave of absence from school and hide out at the studio.
Finally, she received a call from Mrs. Gonzalez, who said they were at the university to see her and wanted to take her out for a meal.
Naomi didn't want to go, but Mrs. Gonzalez gave her no choice, so she had to relent.
However, it was a difficult time to get a cab, so in the end, Lennon offered to drive her.
"Are you sure it's not too much trouble?"
Lately, Zebulon's been all over her like a bad shadow, so Lennon had kept Naomi by his side, involving her in meetings and data processing. It had been incredibly helpful for her character design work, and she had already finalized twelve designs.
According to Steven and the others, that number was nothing short of a miracle.
They had hired many artists before her, interviewing dozens, without a single design being approved.
It was only when Lennon suggested they take a break from the search and focus on other tasks that their year-long ordeal had finally ended.
Naomi was astonished to hear they hadn't approved a single design in over a year.
After that, she became even more meticulous about meeting Lennon's requirements. However, Lennon told her she had already grasped the essence of the game and didn't need to be so cautious, encouraging her to be bolder with her creations.
She was truly happy working here.
"It's no trouble."
Lennon said, "I was heading home today anyway."
Naomi raised her eyebrows, her thoughts pulled back to the present. "You're going back to the Spencer estate?"
"Ron has been insisting I come home."
Naomi smiled. "Speaking of which, it's been a while since I've seen Ron."
