Naomi made it back to her dorm just before the doors locked for the night.

Patricia, likely exhausted from the afternoon, was already fast asleep. Naomi tiptoed through her evening routine and climbed into bed. Seeing a "Goodnight" message from Lennon on her phone, she smiled and sent back a cute goodnight sticker before quickly falling asleep.

"Since when have I had any admirers?"

Patricia grinned. "That's because you used to only have eyes for that jerk. You never noticed anyone else. A lot of guys in our department used to have a thing for you, but they gave up because they thought they couldn't compete with Zebulon. If you don't believe me, post right now that you're over him and looking to date. I guarantee the line would stretch from our dorm all the way to the campus gate."

"Why would I post something like that? I'm not looking to date anyone."

An image of Lennon's face suddenly flashed through Naomi's mind.

The shock of it almost made her drop her phone into the sink.

"Don't be ridiculous."

Patricia raised an eyebrow, about to press her, when Naomi's phone rang.

Already flustered, Naomi didn't even bother to check the caller ID. The call was a lifeline, rescuing her from the awkward moment, and she answered it immediately.

"Hello, this is Naomi."
