The black Bugatti rocketed forward, its speed climbing to over 120 miles per hour.

Other cars on the road swerved out of its path, not even daring to honk at the reckless vehicle.

Inside, Naomi instinctively gripped the seatbelt and glanced at the man in the driver's seat.

Running into Lennon here was incredibly strange.

She had gone downstairs to catch a cab to the hospital, only to find that her phone had died. Just as she was wondering what to do, a car had pulled up in front of her.

The window rolled down, revealing Lennon.

Naomi had lost count of how many times she had coincidentally run into him.

Embarrassingly, it seemed that every time they met, she was in a less-than-ideal situation. This time, she was an absolute wreck.

Lennon saw the wound on her hand and, with a grim expression, told her to get in. Naomi hesitated, worried her dripping blood would stain his car.

She remembered someone mentioning that Lennon, the illegitimate son, was a notorious neat freak.

Back then, everyone had laughed about it, calling him pretentious. An illegitimate child with the audacity to have mysophobia.

Naomi had wanted to defend him, but she wasn't the type to pick fights, so she had just silently sympathized with him.

Her relationship with Lennon was already tenuous; the last thing she wanted was to ruin his car and feel even more indebted to him.

But Lennon insisted, his expression making it clear that if she didn’t get in, he would get out and drag her in himself. Just as she was wavering, she saw Zebulon and Tiffany emerge from the building, and she quickly jumped into the car.

She didn’t want to see them, and she definitely didn’t want to be cornered by them again.

She scrambled into Lennon’s car, and before she could even say a word, the vehicle shot forward.

For a moment, Naomi was pressed back into her seat by a force she’d never experienced before.

She swallowed hard a few times, and once she caught her breath, she whispered, “I’m… I’m okay. Maybe you could slow down a little?”
