As expected, Zebulon flew into a rage when he received the photo.
"That Naomi! I was wondering why she wasn't making a scene this time. Turns out she was lying to us all along!"
Colin and the others found his reaction strange. Zebulon had been complaining for hours about forgetting to meet up with Naomi.
He had even been about to go out and buy Naomi her favorite late-night snack as an apology.
Now, before he'd even left, he was cursing her out.
"What's wrong with Naomi?"
Zebulon shoved the photo Tiffany sent him in their faces.
"She was having fun with some other guy and just got back now! And here I was, feeling guilty and planning to get her food. What an idiot I am!"
Jonathan stared at the man in the picture with Naomi. The angle only showed his side profile, but you could tell he was incredibly handsome, and he looked vaguely familiar.
"What are you staring at?" Colin, who still felt bad about Naomi getting hurt at his place last time, and also because today's forgotten plans were his fault for suggesting the movie, didn't engage with Zebulon's rant.
Seeing Jonathan scrutinizing the photo, Colin asked curiously.
Jonathan pointed to the man in the picture. "Don't you guys think he looks familiar?"
Zebulon couldn't be bothered to look at the photo again. "Familiar with what?" he snapped.
"What kind of decent guy would Naomi even meet?"
That was a low blow.
Jonathan rolled his eyes at Zebulon. "Even if you're jealous, don't go insulting us too!"
Zebulon froze, realizing his insult had backfired on himself. He let out an irritated huff and threw himself onto the sofa. "Familiar or not, she lied to me. That's a line she crossed."
"And I'm not jealous."
