“He’d say he never wanted marriage in the first place, that I was the one who dragged him into it. So if he’s bad at being a husband, it’s on me for forcing him.”

“Forcing a guy who doesn’t even believe in marriage to tie the knot is like handing him a lifetime excuse. Any time we disagree, he could just pull that card, and I’d be stuck. Why would I do that to myself?”

“Hector’s the type who’s proud to his bones. You never know if he’s chasing me because he hates losing or because he actually loves me.
