A Vow of Deception, A Vow of Revenge novel Chapter 115

An address followed—one of Tyson's properties in the city.

But Tyson had told her they'd be staying somewhere else.

So that was his plan? Settle her in quietly, then head off to meet Winona?

Celia's fingers trembled as she stared at the screen, the cold glow of her phone casting a ghostly pallor over her face.

"You just can't wait, can you, Ty?" she said, flinging the phone at him with a bitter laugh.

Tyson frowned. "Now that we're here in the city, I have to see Nona. I need to bring her back."

Winona was his woman—what kind of man would he be, letting her stay away from him?

And then there was that artist, Jonah, probably circling around Winona like a vulture. The thought of it made Tyson's skin crawl.

"Bring her back, huh?" Celia's voice dripped with sarcasm. "So she can get a good look at our perfect little ‘family of three'?"

"Celia, you can't let Nona find out about your pregnancy."

Suddenly, Celia clutched her stomach, eyes shining with unshed tears. "You're just afraid that if she finds out, she'll never come back to you, isn't that right, Ty?"

Her voice trembled with the edge of a sob, but a sly gleam flickered in her eyes. "But the baby is yours, and that's not going to change. I want her to know. I want her to see that you only care about me, that you never really loved her!"

Tyson was laughable, still thinking he could keep anything from Winona.

He didn't know she'd already texted Winona about the pregnancy.

The only problem—Winona hadn't replied.

Had she not seen the message?

No, she must have. Maybe she was off somewhere, hiding in a corner and crying her eyes out.

When they arrived at the villa, Celia kept her face blank. "I'm tired. I'm going to bed."

"I'll come with you," Tyson offered.

"No need."

With that, she slipped upstairs and into the master bedroom alone.

Tyson figured she was sulking and didn't think much of it.

As soon as she shut the door behind her, Celia locked it and quickly dialed a number.

"Celia, you finally called me back." The man's voice came through almost immediately, warm and eager. "I've missed you."

"What are you playing at?" Celia snapped. "You promised me you'd take care of Winona. It's been ages—what's taking so long?"
