Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 61

"Ugh!" Julius's hand tightened around her throat again.

Pinned against the wall, Janina could only let out a weak, muffled grunt, unable to speak.

Her words had thoroughly enraged Julius.

The man was a walking double standard.

He could be unfaithful, but his wife couldn't.

He could have his confidantes, but she couldn't.

"Janina, you dare provoke me again? Even in death, you will die as my wife!"

Julius didn't actually believe Janina had another man. He knew she was just saying it to spite him, but he couldn't stand hearing those words from her lips.

Janina felt like she was suffocating.

She shouldn't have let her sharp tongue get the better of her. Now she was paying the price.

The lack of air grew more intense, but her defiant eyes stared back at him, unwilling to show weakness. She refused to die like this.

As the world began to dim, Janina suddenly lifted her right leg and drove her knee straight into his groin.

Julius cried out in pain, his grip on her throat loosening. Janina gasped for air, her body sliding down the wall until she was sitting on the cold floor, feeling life return to her lungs.

Seeing her flushed face and ragged breathing, Julius's mind cleared instantly.

What had he just done?

He had actually tried to strangle her to death.

But even though his actions were out of line, he felt no guilt. She had said another man was better than him; she was the one who needed a reality check.

Once her breathing evened out, Janina stood up and met his gaze.

"Julius, we are getting a divorce today. If you refuse, I'll go to your office and put up posters of you and Yvonne in bed for everyone to see what kind of man you are!"
