Isabella could tell she was close to winning them over, so she pulled out all the stops, pitching her vision with the kind of passion that came from seeing the short drama industry explode before anyone else did. Every word she spoke carried that rare confidence of someone who’d been there, done that, and wasn’t afraid to bet big.
Linda was always up for a little risk. She liked how Isabella saw things. She knew the best time to make money was when an industry was just getting started, right before everyone else caught on. Business was basically gambling. If you played it right, you could walk away rich. If you lost, you might lose everything, maybe even end up in debt. Linda was ready to roll the dice.
She glanced at Isabella and said, “When are you free? Bring your studio’s contract to The White Jewelry. We can sign it there. However much you’re investing, I’ll match it.”
Barbara watched Linda agree, then nodded. “Count me in too, Isabella.”
Isabella grinned. “Perfect. The four of us will each have twenty-five percent. I have another partner. I’ll bring her to the signing so you can meet her too.”
“She’s a writer. She’s already had a breakout hit.”
Both women agreed right away. Splitting things evenly meant they’d win or lose together. It felt fair, and they trusted Isabella’s instincts. Landing two strong partners, Isabella couldn’t help but raise her glass. “Come on, cheers to us and our new partnership.”
The three of them clinked glasses and finished their drinks.
Right then, a sweet, almost too delicate voice cut in. “Isabella, what are you all chatting about? You look so happy.” Natalie stood there with a glass of juice, her smile perfectly polite.
