When Jonathan arrived to pick up Aiden, he noticed Angelina and asked, "Mr. Finnegan, who is this?"
"My wife," Aiden replied this time without mentioning 'nominal.'
"Oh, Mrs. Finnegan! Nice to meet you!" Jonathan greeted her with a smile.
However, Angelina looked astonished at Jonathan. This was the mayor of Keyland, who often appeared on television! What was he doing here at Aiden's medical center? And it seemed that he knew Aiden!
"Mr. Jorgenson?" Angelina exclaimed in surprise.
Jonathan waved his hand and said, "It's after work hours now. No need to be so formal, Mrs. Finnegan. Let's have dinner together tonight!"
Just as Angelina was about to speak, her phone rang. After answering the call, she awkwardly said, "Mr. Jorgenson, you and Aiden go ahead. I have an emergency at home."
Jonathan nodded in understanding and didn't insist. After all, he had something important to discuss with Aiden.
"What's wrong?" Aiden asked Angelina.
"It's my dad. He said Mom is feeling a bit dizzy, so I need to go home," Angelina explained helplessly.
"How about I go with you to check?" he suggested.
"It's fine. You know how my mom claims to have headaches countless times every year, but they are never real," Angelina said with a frown.
Actually, if Jonathan hadn't come, Angelina wanted Aiden to go back with her to check on her mother, which could also help ease the strained relationship. However, Jonathan was clearly seeking Aiden for a reason, and after all, he was the mayor. So, Angelina decided not to mention it to Aiden, who nodded in response. "Sure, call me if there's anything."
After Angelina left, Jonathan smiled and remarked, "I didn't expect your wife to be so beautiful, Mr. Finnegan."
"You realized my identity long ago, haven't you?" Aiden said sarcastically.
Jonathan chuckled. "I was stunned for quite a while when I first saw your profile. I couldn't figure out why you would be the Grays' live-in son-in-law."
"Where are we eating?" Aiden glanced at Jonathan.
Aiden knew that Jonathan had a different background from his military days, and he probably ended up in politics due to certain circumstances. Therefore, Aiden didn't feel any pressure to converse with him.
Moreover, during his time with the Finnegans in the Capital, Aiden encountered various influential figures, even inside the Forbidden Castle. So, the mayor of Keyland really wasn't someone important to him.
On the other hand, Jonathan appreciated this kind of conversation as he seldom experienced it in his position. Perhaps it was the loneliness at the top.
When the two arrived at the restaurant, Jonathan gestured for his secretary to leave, leaving only Aiden and Jonathan in the private room.
Jonathan smiled and said, "Mr. Finnegan, let's talk while we eat!"
"The poisoning culprit was caught, right?" Aiden asked as he took a bite of the food.

Aiden, looking at Jonathan, said flatly, "If Old Mr. Walker hadn't intervened, the Chapman Family might have been wiped out by now."
Jonathan looked at Aiden with a wry smile and said, "Mr. Finnegan, I know you're furious, but you should understand that it's challenging for me when such things happen under my rule."
"Is that so?" Aiden looked at Jonathan with curiosity.
Jonathan continued, "Although conflicts among martial artists usually don't involve common folks, and the court rarely interferes excessively, there's a premise that it shouldn't affect the secular world.
"Since ancient times, martial artists have violated prohibitions, and the one in the capital is ambitious, so…"
Jonathan left his words hanging, but Aiden understood. Jonathan didn't want trouble under his rule.
He looked at Jonathan and said, "Well, there's nothing we can do. You probably know all the details of the whole incident. If they hadn't provoked me, would I be bothered to seek trouble with them?"
"Mr. Finnegan." Jonathan smiled bitterly.
Aiden waved his hand and said, "Just call me Aiden."
"Alright, I'll make an exception this time. Aiden, you misunderstood me!" Jonathan explained.
"What do you mean?"
