Aiden Finnegan the Alchemist in Delcord novel Chapter 129

"I mean, next time something like this happens, can you give me a heads up so I can handle it?" Jonathan complained.

Aiden raised an eyebrow in response. "We'll see. Do you really think I'll have the time to call you if it comes down to a fight?"

Jonathan slapped his forehead, realizing that Aiden hadn't taken his words to heart.

After finishing their meal, Jonathan drove Aiden back to the medical center and asked, "Are you staying at the medical center now?"

"Yeah, why?" Aiden looked at Jonathan, confused.

Jonathan gave Aiden a knowing look and said, "Living with elderly people can be inconvenient. I understand."

Aiden rolled his eyes. "Alright, I'll see you another time."

After Aiden got out of the car, Jonathan leaned out of the window and said, "Aiden, I called you Aiden. You're my man now. Remember what I told you tonight!"

Aiden ignored Jonathan and walked straight into the medical center. Watching Aiden's retreating figure, the chauffeur, Leroy, asked in confusion, "Sir, why are we being so polite to Aiden?"

"First, Aiden saved my father's life and even revealed that someone poisoned him, alerting us. Second, his skills alone make him a valuable ally for the Jorgenson Family!" Jonathan explained casually.

Leroy nodded in understanding.

Aiden opened the doors of the medical center and looked at the empty hall. He chuckled to himself and said, "At the very least, I'm a down-and-out young man, yet I have no one to share my bed with." He casually closed the door and sat alone in the hall, reading medical books.

Meanwhile, Jonathan returned home and entered Hayden's room, greeting respectfully, "Dad, I'm back."

"Why are official matters keeping you so late?" Hayden asked with a smile. After taking the Corebuilder that Aiden gave him, Hayden's current physical condition was even better than before, and his speech was strong and vigorous.

Jonathan shook his head and said, "No, I went to have a meal with Aiden."

Hayden pondered for a moment and then said, "Because of last night's incident?"

"Yes," Jonathan replied.

Hayden sighed and said, "You're a great kid, but you are too cunning. Who is Aiden? Can you handle him using conventional methods?"

Jonathan shook his head and said, "No. So, I humbly told him that if something like that comes up again in the future, he could let me know in advance so I can be mentally prepared."

"That's good. Jonathan, you have to build a good relationship with Aiden. It will definitely benefit you in the future. I'm already in my eighties and won't live for much longer. Once I'm gone, our family will have to rely on you and your second brother. Your oldest brother has no interest in politics, and your second brother is simple-minded. If there isn't someone to support you, what will happen to our family? What will you do?" Hayden said with deep concern.

"I understand, Dad," Jonathan respectfully replied. "You don't need to worry too much."

"This is not baseless worry; it's being prepared for the future," Hayden said with a smile.

Inside the medical center, Aiden was reading a book when he heard a knock on the door. Angelina's voice came from outside, "Aiden, open the door for me!"

When Aiden opened the door, he smiled and asked, "How did you know I was back?"

"There's light under the door crack! I'm smart, aren't I?" Angelina said mischievously.

Aiden couldn't help but smile, rarely seeing Angelina show such a playful side.

Hearing the sound of water from the bathroom, Aiden meditated, calming his mind.

Meanwhile, in the shower, Angelina thought, That fool! Can't he make the first move?

At that moment, another thought crossed Angelina's mind. "Could it be that he's actually planning to divorce me? So, it's not that he's uninterested in me, but he's restraining himself!"

Suddenly, she was overwhelmed with a mix of emotions. If her previous attitude towards Aiden was indifferent, now she absolutely didn't want to leave him.

Then, Angelina sighed and said to herself, "Angelina, oh Angelina, this is karma!"

Just then, another saying came to her mind—"Today, you ignore me; tomorrow, I'm way out of your league." Now, Aiden was out of her league.

Angelina stomped her foot and muttered, "Angelina, you're going to throw all your inhibitions out the window tonight!"

After that, she shouted from the bathroom, "Aiden, bring me a towel!"

She smirked and grumbled, "There's no way you can resist this!"

Hearing that, Aiden chuckled, stood up, and went to get a towel for Angelina.

At the bathroom door, he said, "I'll hang the towel on the doorknob!"

However, just as Aiden finished speaking, the bathroom door opened, and steam rushed out.

Oh my goodness, this will be the death of me! he wailed.
