Aiden Finnegan the Alchemist in Delcord novel Chapter 89

Aiden and Angelina returned to the jade shop downstairs and saw Linda admiring the bracelet on her wrist with a smile.

Upon seeing the expression on Linda's face, Angelina felt upset and approached her. "Are you satisfied now? If it weren't for Aiden today, do you realize how much money we would have lost?"

"But that's all in the past, isn't it?" Linda disregarded Angelina's tone and said happily, "Angelina, look at this bracelet. The salesperson said it's worth 10,000!"

"Mom, why did you choose such an expensive bracelet?" Angelina exclaimed.

Linda, however, responded indifferently, "So what? Since Mr. Owen allowed me to choose, I chose this one. 10,000 means nothing to the Owen Family!"

"It's all thanks to Aiden that you get to keep this bracelet. How do you think Mr. Owen and the others will perceive Aiden if you keep acting like this?" Angelina snapped. "Dad, why didn't you keep an eye on Mom?"

Harvey smiled bitterly. Angelina must be mistaken to think he could control Linda.

Upon hearing this, Linda glanced at Aiden, but this time, she didn't curse at him. She simply remained silent and admired the bracelet.

"Let's go back and talk," Harvey suggested.

As the group left, Aiden reached out to hail a cab.

Harvey quickly added, "Addie, why don't you come home for dinner tonight?"

"Thanks, Dad, but I still have something to do at the medical center." Aiden waved his hand.

Angelina eagerly persuaded, "Aiden, won't you have dinner with us?"

"No matter how busy you are, you can always make time. Come on, let's go!" Harvey said with a smile.

Upon hearing this, Aiden couldn't refuse anymore and nodded. "Alright."

Linda looked at Aiden, her eyes flickering, her thoughts unreadable.

Once they all got in the car, they headed straight home.

During dinner, Harvey looked at Aiden. "Addie, do you plan to keep living at the medical center?"

Upon hearing this, Angelina perked up her ears, eager to hear what Aiden would say.

Aiden replied calmly, "I'll stay at the medical center for a while."

A hint of disappointment flashed across Angelina's face.

Harvey grinned. "Alright then."

However, Linda interjected, "Aiden, we have rooms for you to stay here. Why do you insist on staying at the medical center? If this gets out, people might think we're not letting you stay at home."

Aiden looked at Linda in surprise. This was the first time Linda had softened towards him. Although she didn't say it directly, Aiden understood the meaning behind her words.

But upon further reflection, Aiden figured it out.

Linda must think he still had some value left after seeing Gabriel treat him with such respect.

Angelina, too, looked at Linda in astonishment, wondering if she had misheard. She couldn't believe Linda was speaking so kindly to Aiden.

"I still prefer to stay at the medical center, Mom," Aiden said calmly.

There it is. Aiden sneered inwardly. "He's my patient," he said.

Harvey looked at Angelina in surprise. "What's the meaning of this, Angelina?"

Angelina then recounted what had happened at the company that day.

However, Angelina shook her head. "I've come to terms with it, Mom. Instead of exhausting myself at the company every day, I'd rather find something to do on my own."

"I won't accept that. How could they bully my daughter like this? No wonder you've been in such a bad mood these past few days!" Linda said, looking at Angelina with pity and concern.

Aiden nodded in agreement. Putting everything else aside, at least Linda treated Angelina well.

"Not you too... Ugh! We're just letting them walk all over us! Why would you... Ah, for crying out loud!" Linda huffed.

Aiden was somewhat surprised to see Harvey being so open-minded. He said, "Starting a tea house business isn't a bad idea. At least it would improve your mood."

"Why are you getting involved in this mess? Your medical center isn't doing all that well yet. Where would we get the money to start a tea house business?" Linda frowned.

Aiden smiled at Harvey and said, "Dad, if you really want to open a tea house, just let me know. Don't worry about the money!"

Then he continued, "Rest assured. In three days, I'll make the Gray Family beg Angelina to come back!"
