After finishing dinner, Aiden was ready to leave.

Angelina hesitated as she looked at Aiden, but Linda interjected, "It's getting late. Are you still planning to go to the medical center?"

"My bedding is all there," Aiden casually remarked.

"I have some in my room," Angelina suddenly offered.

However, Aiden simply smiled and remained silent.

Seeing that Aiden was determined to leave, Angelina said, "I'll send you there."

"It's fine. The medical center isn't far from here. I can go back by myself, and I don't want to inconvenience you when you return," Aiden replied with a smile.

As the door closed, Angelina realized that Aiden was no longer the submissive son-in-law of the Gray Family!

As for Aiden, once he left the house, instead of going back to the medical center, he headed to the riverside.

The river was calm and serene, but Aiden's heart was racing. From today onwards, he was no longer the useless son-in-law of the Gray Family!

One day, he would return to the capital and put an end to the past!

Aiden stayed by the riverside until late before finally going back to the medical center.

Nameless hesitated when he saw Aiden walking in.

Confused by Nameless' expression, Aiden asked, "Is something wrong?"

"Mr. Finnegan, I need to leave for a few days," Nameless said.

Aiden nodded. "You're not an employee here. I'm just providing you with a place to stay. You are free to come and go as you please."

"I understand, Mr. Finnegan," Nameless said. "But I thought I should inform you. I'll come back once I finish settling my matters."

"Alright," said Aiden. "If you need any help, just let me know."

"Thank you, Mr. Finnegan."

The next morning, when Aiden woke up, he discovered that Nameless had already left the medical center.

Aiden didn't mind it, though. He was only assisting Nameless, and it was his choice whether to leave or stay.

When Helena arrived at the medical center, she didn't see Nameless and asked, "Where's Nameless?"

"He has some matters to settle and went out for a few days," Aiden casually replied.

Upon hearing this, Helena frowned and said bitterly, "What business does he have?"

"How would I know? You and Nameless have only known each other for a short time, right? Why are you so reluctant?" Aiden asked, confused.

Helena, however, glared at Aiden. "Who will clean the place now that he's gone?"

Aiden rolled his eyes. He thought Helena was feeling a bit sad because Nameless had left. Turns out she was concerned about this.

With Nameless gone, all the chores at the medical center naturally fell on Helena once again.

"How are your studies coming along?" Aiden casually inquired.

Upon hearing this, Helena quickly turned around and went back to the medicine cabinet, muttering to herself, "That reminds me, I need to check the amount of medicinal herbs in the cabinet today!"

Observing the hostile interaction between Gina and Angelina, Aiden sighed and rubbed his forehead. What an unfortunate day. Whenever these two meet, a fight is bound to happen.

Helena, who was watching the situation unfold in the medical center, gave Aiden a gloating look that said, "That's what you get for being a player!"

Aiden glared at Helena and hurriedly approached Angelina, asking, "What brings you here, Angelina?"

"Am I interrupting your date?" Angelina said calmly.

"Angelina, you know that there's nothing between me and Miss Gina," Aiden said helplessly.

Gina maintained a grin on her face, seemingly unaffected by Angelina's words.

"Listen, Miss Gray, what your eyes see isn't always the truth," Gina said meaningfully. "With how you're behaving, you'll only make Aiden dislike you even more."

Angelina's face fell, and she retorted, "We don't need outsiders meddling in our affairs. If you have no other business here, please leave!"

"You have no right to ask me to leave, whether I have business here or not." Gina shook her head. "We're all adults here, so let's act like it."

"Well, what else would you call it? Instead of thinking about how to win back your husband, you keep embarrassing him! I don't know if you're a genius or just plain foolish!" Gina smirked.

"Can you two stop arguing, please?" Aiden shook his head.

"Shut up!"

Both women yelled at Aiden simultaneously.
