Aww Seven Exes Begged Cute Blocked novel Chapter 42

**A Promise Written on the Rusted Edge of Time by Dael Rowan Sire**

Tears, hot and unrelenting, streamed down my cheeks, each drop carrying the weight of heartbreak and humiliation.

Alden’s words echoed in my mind like a relentless drumbeat, each syllable chipping away at the fragile remnants of my self-worth. It was as if he had taken a hammer to my heart, shattering any sense of dignity I had left.

We had lost ourselves in each other, passion igniting like wildfire. Before sleep finally claimed us, he had whispered, his voice thick with exhaustion, “Sorry I wasn’t more prepared. I’ll get you Plan B first thing tomorrow.”

He had even taken the time to lecture me about self-care, his concern genuine as he insisted I needed the pill to safeguard my health.

In that moment, I had thought he was being responsible. I had dared to believe I had finally stumbled upon my own slice of happiness.

And now…
