Blizzard, First Love and a Wife Who Finally Snaps novel Chapter 70

Selena wasn’t actually scared. She was certain Adrian would never let that happen.

But she couldn’t let Adrian and Isabel actually get divorced.

If they did, what if Adrian insisted on marrying her?

She had no intention of ever getting married.

Besides, that would ruin the fun.

What she enjoyed was the feeling of having Adrian, a married man, wrapped around her finger.

“Isabel,” Selena said, her voice as soft as water, “don’t be so childish. You won’t come out of this looking good either. Have you forgotten how you and Adrian got married in the first place?”

“I haven’t forgotten,” Isabel replied, her tone consistently cool. “I’ll own up to my mistakes. But you two need to own up to yours as well.”

Dylan had been waiting outside Lab 1 the whole time.

Isabel hadn’t let him in, and he had no idea what they were talking about.

Amanda came looking for Isabel to ask about something, and when she saw her inside with Selena, she panicked.

She slapped Dylan hard on the back. “You just let her be in there alone with Selena? Her hand hasn’t even healed yet! What if something else happens?”

Dylan winced in pain. Amanda hadn’t held back.

“Isabel locked the door from the inside. She said she had something to say to Selena and told me to stay out. What was I supposed to do?”

Amanda looked at him with exasperation. “No wonder she’s not into you.”

“...”

Just as Amanda was trying to figure out a way in, Isabel opened the door and stepped out.

She stood in the doorway, her arms crossed.

Her icy gaze was fixed on Selena.

Selena emerged, her face pale and her expression resentful.

She wasn't afraid of Isabel.

What worried her was Isabel’s unwavering determination to divorce Adrian.

For now, she had to play the victim.

She had to make Adrian feel sorry for her.

And then, she would find a way to stop the divorce.
