Boss, Your Ex-Wife is Unreachable Now! novel Chapter 335

After the examination, the doctor confirmed that Klein's condition was good. Barring any complications, he was expected to wake up within the day but would need to remain in the hospital for a few more days of observation.

Willow carefully jotted down all the doctor's instructions, not daring to miss a single detail.

Once the attending physician had left, Ian gazed at Willow's weary profile. "You didn't sleep at all last night, did you?" he asked with concern.

"No," Willow replied softly. She gently tucked her father's blanket in and adjusted the length of the IV tube. "I can't sleep until he's awake."

"I brought you breakfast," Ian said. "Eat something, then get some sleep. I'll ask a colleague to keep an eye on your dad, so don't worry."

Willow blinked, only now noticing the breakfast bag in his hand. Ian placed it on the small table in the sitting area. Inside was a steaming container of fish chowder and a fragrant bacon croissant.

"Have you eaten, Dr. Lockwood?" Willow asked as she walked over.

Ian smiled warmly. "I was planning to eat when I get home."

"Why don't you have some with me?" she offered politely, feeling a bit guilty that he had brought her breakfast but hadn't eaten himself.

However, the moment she invited him to eat was the exact moment Beasley Windsor walked in. He too was carrying breakfast, a lavish spread from the five-star hotel he had stayed at last night. He had carefully selected a variety of traditional breakfast items and Western pastries, enough to fill two large containers.

Willow had her back to the door, so she didn't see him arrive. It was only when she noticed Ian's gaze shift to a point behind her that she turned around.

Beasley had said he would be back, but she hadn't expected him this early. Was he worried she had discovered something, so he couldn't sleep? A cold smile touched her lips, and her eyes grew even icier as she looked at him.
