Knowing Renee's shrewd business acumen and her calculating nature, she must have had an ulterior motive when she suggested bulk purchasing the gastrointestinal medicine.
But Giselle did not protest this time. She sneered. "That's a doable proposal, but the minimum purchase is five million dollars. Are you sure…"
"I'll pay more than 10 million dollars," Renee proposed without batting an eye. "Tell Donovan to provide me with all the inventory of that medicine."
Giselle fixed her eyes on Renee for a few seconds before smirking. "Are you sure you want that? That's gonna cost a lot. Once you sign the contract, you can't take it back."
"I know that better than you do. Cut the bullshit. Just tell Donovan." Renee seemed to have decided.
Surprisingly, Giselle didn't give her a hard time. "Fine. I will cut to the chase. I agree to your proposal, but let's not drag Donovan into a mere five-million-dollar deal. I'll get the marketing people from the headquarters to sort out the details with you and get the contract signed by today."
Renee was surprised to see Giselle readily agree to her suggestion, but she did not overthink it. As one of the standouts in the pharmaceutical industry, Renee managed to grow her pharmacy brand into a business worth tens of billions, even expanding her chain stores overseas. That certainly required some real skill.
One thing was for sure—she had never done business at a loss.
Therefore, she had only suggested the bulk purchase of that over-the-counter gastrointestinal medicine out of business acumen. She had unwavering trust in her decision.
When the discussion between the ladies mellowed down, Tony, who had been watching it unfold, felt rather puzzled. As a doctor, he mostly spent his time saving lives and doing medical research. He was certainly not as knowledgeable about the pharmaceutical business as Renee.
