Two days later, Giselle received a call from Vivienne around noon, right after a meeting.
"Hey, Selle, wanna have lunch?" asked Vivienne.
Giselle absentmindedly checked her email inbox. "Sure. It's been a while since you asked me out."
Vivienne's tone took a sad turn. "Yeah, it's been a while. I miss you."
Her unusual comment didn't faze Giselle. Giselle agreed, "Sure. Send the location of the restaurant to me."
"Okay."
When Giselle was done with her important work, she grabbed her bag and car keys and exited her office.
She put the address Vivienne gave her into the car navigation. It was an ethnic restaurant in a mall half an hour away.
Ever since Giselle became an owner of her dental clinic with the financial support of Sebastian, she had been so busy that she didn't have the time to meet with Vivienne.
Still, as best friends, they'd chat every few days via WhatsApp, sharing their daily lives and complaining. Even if they did not physically meet, they were up to date with each other's lives.
Giselle parked her car and made her way to the restaurant on the third floor. Vivienne was already waiting for her in a private dining room.
Vivienne offered, "Order whatever you want! I'm buying the meal."
"Oh, you're more generous now that you run a business," teased Giselle.
