The woman who'd entered the room was someone Giselle was acquainted with—Cecilia York.

When Cecilia caught sight of Giselle, she froze for a moment as well. After glancing at her with disdain, she walked directly over to Ethan and said, "I managed to get in contact with Gideon, Mr. Kane. He's in New Jorland right now, but his assistant wasn't sure when he'd return to the country."

Ethan nodded and replied, "Just let him be for now."

When Cecilia saw that Giselle was here too, she deliberately raised her voice before saying, "I was thinking, Mr. Kane. Since he can't come back in time, why don't we just hold our wedding overseas? We can just invite our friends and family and host a simple ceremony."

"Sure," he responded. "Just plan the wedding however you like. I've set the budget at 20 million for now. If that's not enough, we can discuss it when the time comes. All you have to do is keep an eye on him for me."

"I understand," Cecilia responded before continuing loudly, "I will convince him to go through with the wedding as soon as possible so our child can have a complete family."

She added, "The development and well-being of our son comes first. My relationship with Gideon is secondary to that. I'll do my best to make your arrangements work, Mr. Kane."

After hearing what Cecilia had just said, Giselle finally had a grasp on the situation.

Ethan cared a lot about Gideon. For the sake of the latter's child, he was willing to graciously accept Cecilia as his daughter-in-law and encourage them to get married.

After obtaining all this information, Giselle had nothing much to say. It was none of her business anyway.

"If there's nothing else to discuss, I think I'll be taking my leave, Mr. Kane," Giselle told Ethan emotionlessly.

"Alright then." He added, "Don't forget what I'd just talked to you about."

Giselle nodded her head and pretended to agree. "I understand. I'll leave you two to it then."

Subsequently, she decided to pick up her bag and leave the office.

However, before she could even take a step forward, she heard Cecilia answer a call. Moments later, the latter's expression shifted drastically.

Giselle, who had been staying quiet the entire time, walked out of the room with them. She overheard their conversation and knew that Cecilia's son was in trouble. However, since it didn't have anything to do with her, she wasn't fazed.

Initially, Giselle wanted to head back after they reached the car park. But then, she began to wonder if Ethan would be even more hostile toward her because of how cold and heartless she was being.

On the other end, Harry was Gideon's biological son. So, she assumed it was okay for her to follow them to the hospital to check on his condition.

Hence, while Ethan and Cecilia were waiting for their driver, she turned to Ethan and offered, "Would you like me to drive you to the hospital, Mr. Kane? I'm a fast driver. You should get to the hospital as soon as possible."

"Stop talking so much. Just drive!" Ethan responded.

He was feeling too anxious to pay attention to Giselle.

Just like that, Ethan and Cecilia hopped into the backseat of Giselle's Rolls-Royce Phantom while Giselle got in the driver's seat. After starting up the vehicle, the latter turned the steering wheel in one swift motion and drove out of the main gate.
