Breaking Mr. Cold (Giselle and Donovan) novel Chapter 449

Seeing Giselle run away in panic, Gideon didn't feel the slightest bit of guilt but smirked instead.

In his world, morality and ethics held no meaning. Ever since he was a kid, he would do whatever it took to get what he wanted, especially when it came to women.

To him, women were nothing more than toys.

He abandoned women he grew tired of and showed no mercy to those who clung to him. Even if one were to jump from a building before his eyes, he wouldn't flinch.

But women who truly captured his heart saw the vulnerable and obsessive side of him. Even if she were married to someone else, he still wouldn't let her go.

Especially when he recalled the humiliation he had suffered from Donovan's past schemes, he found justification for what he had just done.

While he was lost in his thoughts, someone quietly opened the hospital room door.

Assuming Giselle had returned, his excitement surged as he sat up abruptly. However, he soon saw that it was Cecilia.

"Gid, are you feeling better?" Cecilia asked with concern as she approached his hospital bed.

Unfortunately, he didn't even spare her a glance. Instead, he said coldly, "Leave. Now."

Seeing his bruised and battered face, her heart ached. "How can I leave after seeing how badly injured you are? Who else in the world besides me would care about you?"

"Get out!" Gideon exploded.

That was because her words had hit a nerve.

Gideon turned onto his side to get some sleep. However, he felt a sharp pain in his head, heart, and even his entire body. He couldn't fall asleep, and irritation gnawed at him.

Barely three minutes later, he heard the door open again.

Assuming Cecilia had returned, he snapped angrily, "Didn't I ask you to get lost?"

The person at the door remained silent.

After a long pause, a heavy, unfamiliar female voice rang out. "You're Gideon Grayson?"

Startled, Gideon turned to look and was shocked to see Dorothea standing at the doorway.
