Breaking Mr. Cold (Giselle and Donovan) novel Chapter 473

Seeing how quickly Giselle agreed, with almost no emotional reaction, Gideon realized she was merely humoring him, as if playing along with a child.

Even so, he felt a small sense of relief deep down. Since her marriage, he had long considered their connection over and had given up hope.

"Fine," Gideon said, unwilling to push further. "Tell me. How do you want me to help?"

Giselle crossed her arms and paced the living room for a while, then asked him with a hint of mystery, "Do you have any men here, or can you bring some from back home?"

Gideon gave her a complex look. "What are you planning? Are you trying to drag me into this?"

After closing the door behind her and confirming there were no cameras in the room, she laid out her plan to him in full detail.

"I need your help with the team and a place to work. You won't have to get directly involved—just assist and handle the logistics. Nothing will tie back to you," she said firmly.

Gideon remained calm and even a little indulgent as he said, "Fine. Whatever you want to do, I'll go along with it. Even if it's something extreme, I'll see it through with you and take care of the aftermath."

"Thank you," she said, turning away to avoid his intense gaze.

After taking a moment to compose herself, she added firmly, "That's the plan. Go back and organize the team according to my instructions. Make sure everything stays strictly confidential."

"Got it," he replied.

At dusk, the area was dark and quiet except for the chirping of insects. The atmosphere felt both secluded and ominous, especially for someone arriving alone.

After parking the car, Giselle saw a dim light glowing from inside the cabin and stepped forward cautiously.

As she reached the door, muffled cries and chaotic noises came from inside. She pushed the slightly ajar door open and saw Lauren, the woman who had accused Donovan of rape, bound at hands and feet with tape over her mouth. She slumped on the couch, struggling desperately.

Two of Gideon's men stood guard nearby.

When Lauren saw Giselle, her eyes widened with fear and anger. She thrashed even harder, but her bindings made it impossible to escape.

Giselle watched her without a trace of emotion and stepped closer slowly.
