Chapter 13 

David Green panicked completely. 

His knuckles turned white gripping the phone, face instantly paling. 

Lisa Davis changed her identity records? 

Was she leaving him for good? 

No, impossible. 

They loved each other so deeply–how could Lisa bear to leave? 

David smashed his phone, eyes bloodshot. He refused to believe she’d truly go 

He stormed out of the villa, colliding with Helen Gonzalez clutching a box, her eyes rimmed red. 

“Brother, sis sent this… What does she mean?” Helen trembled as she opened the box. Inside lay a blood–soaked reborn doll. 

A voice recorder played Lisa’s vicious words on loop: 

“Helen Gonzalez, you seduced David Green. You and your bastard deserve death My revenge won’t stop. This time, David will never catch me.” 

David’s expression darkened. The familiar voice dissolved his regret into icy fury. 

Had Lisa altered her records to hide… and plot revenge against Helen? 

Compared to her leaving forever, he’d rather believe this. 

“Brother, how did she know? She hates me! What do I do? This child… I can’t keep it.” Helen shook, turning toward the hospital. 

David yanked her back, crushing her against his chest. “With me here, no one touches you.”
