Brother’s Best Friends Are My Mates novel Chapter 165

Colby

The sounds Lia was making were driving every one of us insane. We were currently on day three of her heat, and it was slowly ending, but it was clear that there was still a bit to go.

She was on the bed on her knees, furiously pleasuring herself or trying to. The four of us had walked out while she was sleeping to go grab some food, water, shower, clean the sheets, and just do some things that needed to be done while we were sure that Lia was sleeping.

Then we come back to the room and see her sobbing into the pillow, desperately trying to come by she wasn’t able to come because she needed a knot. It would be the only way to stop the burning feeling inside her gut.

Slowly, I approached the bed, murmuring soft words to her. I stroked my cock, able to get it hard within seconds. The sight of Lia was enough to make me half hard before I even walked towards the damn bed.

I positioned myself beside her, sinking in right away. Lia was so wet that I slid in easily. There was no resistance, no surprise given that we had been knocking on her door for three days straight.

Lia cried out, throwing her head back and nearly smacking it against mine. Rain laughed from wherever he was in the room. I would’ve glared at him, but I was too busy enjoying myself that I didn’t want to waste any time or energy on it.

My entire focus was fucking Lia and getting her to come. And to spill my seed inside her.

This was the instinct of an alpha. To impregnate her and make her bear one of our pups. One day, that would happen. Not soon because there was a lot of shit going on right now but I knew it would happen. Just a matter of waiting for the right time.

It wasn’t long after that I entered her that I could feel my cock start to swell, Lia was rubbing her clit, crying out when she hit her orgasm. But she kept going, eventually getting a second orgasm.

I chuckled and kept fucking her until my knot had completely swelled, filling her up with our come.

It was a good thing that she was on birth control because if she weren’t, then we would’ve ended up getting her pregnant a long time ago. All four of us fucking her during her heat was bound to od that.

I lay down with her, positioning her as best I could with my knot still inside her. At this rate, we were going to have to end up cleaning the sheets all over again!

Good thing we had ended up bringing more than one set of sheets into the room.

It was only a matter of time before Lia snapped out of it. She was getting closer and closer to the end of her heat. We just needed to see her through it like we always did.

Lia

In the aftermath of my heart I made a decision. I was going to start taking my students more seriously, and I was also going to focus on doing my best in this new position that I was given.

Looking around at all my mates, I smiled at them and then decided to tell them what had been on my mind for a while now. “I want to work on finding peace between all the races,” I said, my voice steady despite the weight of the words.

Silence hung in the air for a beat. Then Rain sniffled. Loudly.

Rain started to cry, wiping at his face. I blinked, not realizing my words were so impactful. It was sweet, but I didn’t think he was going to have that sort of reaction.

“That’s beautiful,” he choked out, wiping at his eyes.

“Rain, I’m just announcing what I am going to focus on and what my main goal is. It doesn’t mean you have to break out into tears.”

“But it’s so sweet!” Rain wailed, wiping at his eyes even more.

Everyone was staring at Rain, shaking their head. But he was in the presence of our pack, so there wasn’t worry about anyone judging him or anything.

Jesse groaned. “Oh, for the love of-calm down, Rain.”

Matt rolled his eyes. “You act like she just solved world hunger.”

Colby chuckled, shaking his head. “Don’t mind them, Lia. You just have that effect on people.” I smiled, glancing at Rain, who was still dabbing at his face. “Are you crying?”

“They’re happy tears!” he defended, sniffling again.

Sometimes Rain could be so ridiculous. I couldn’t believe how crazy he was sometimes, but I loved him the way he was. Just like he loved me for who I was.

Jesse sighed, muttering something under his breath.

There was a brief pause, a rare moment of quiet among us. Then-

“So, food?” Rain asked, clapping his hands together. “Because all this emotional bonding is making me hungry.” Matt groaned. “You’re always hungry.”

“Yeah, because I’m always doing things,” Rain said. “Like selectively planning my next punch.” Colby snickered. “And here I thought you were turning over a new leaf.”

“Never said that,” Rain replied. “Just improving my aim.”

Colby shook his head, amused. “Fine. Let’s get food before Jesse starts practicing on one of us.” I grinned. “Sounds like a solid plan.”

It was such a relief to know that they were going to be there for me during all of this. What was I going to do without them? Not that I was going to have to wonder about this because they were always going to be there with me.

It wasn’t going to be easy to be able to navigate this problem. I mean, imagine me trying to broker peace between everyone but I would be damned if I wasn’t going to try.

At least my heat was over. I was glad that I would be able to throw myself into my new job and focus on taking care of everything that needed to be done.

Going through ha heat was very stressful. Alphas didn’t realize how stressful it could be. But I had gotten through it.

Tomorrow I will be back to work I’d do my best, and hopefully, the others in the council would be willing to work with me.

They had been pushing back on me so much that I was starting to get used to not being listened to if that made any sense.

They would listen to me, whether they liked it or not.

“Anyway, I’d better start getting ready for work tomorrow,” I said, rolling my eyes when the guys gave me a look. “You all knew I was going to go back to work, so stop looking at me like that, okay?”

Rain pouted. “Okay, but give that speech. I’m telling you there won’t be a dry eye in the house.”
