They hugged each other for a long moment before they let go and Karin told Rania about the important thing that she wanted to tell her.

“I know that you will not agree to this, but I don’t think your body can take the pregnancy.” Karin squeezed her hands. “Please, Rania. The king is way better when he is with you, don’t do this to yourself and the king”

Rania retracted her hands, she didn’t want to hear it. She was being stubborn now.

However, Karin didn’t give up, she had checked on her earlier, and know for sure what she is talking about. There was no denying it at this point.

The longer they waited, the more Rania was in a danger.

“Rania, I am sorry for being harsh, but I have checked on you earlier.” Karin shook her head. “You can’t get through with this pregnancy. I am so sorry. You will put your life in danger.” Karin then added something crueler for Rania to hear. “You will not be able to have a safe delivery, no, you will not be able to carry the baby full term. If both of you died, then what is the point of your sacrifice?”

Rania bit her lips, she wanted to deny all of that. She wanted to tell Karin that she could do it. She would make it, but deep down, she knew that was not true.

The healer wouldn’t play with her in this important thing. She wouldn’t lie to her. She did once, but she did it to save her feeling.

“I am sorry. I am sorry…” Karin hugged Rania closely, as she cried against her chest. “I am sorry. I wish I can do something to help you. I wish I can make it better for you. I am sorry, I can’t do anything to help. I am very useless.”

Rania shook her head. She didn’t want Karin to reprimand herself. This was not her fault.

“I am sorry, I lied to you, and caused you a heartache because of my bad judgment.” Karin was crying too. She felt Rania’s pain, even though she would never understand the depth of it. She was not in her shoes, so it would be disrespectful.

However, Rania couldn’t stop crying. She felt her chest tightened, but even when she was exhausted, she couldn’t let go. The heaviness weighed her in.

Because Jasmine was pregnant, she was an exception. She was allowed not to wear the silver bracelet because it would harm her baby.

To be honest, Jasmine didn’t mind it. She wanted to get rid the thing that kept growing inside of her stomach as soon as possible.

However, this was their assurance. They could threaten Gerald with the baby for a certain thing, but without it, they would completely helpless, they had nothing to bargain with.

The warriors stayed at the warriors‘ quarter, but they were treated like a criminal. The other warriors looked at them with hostility because they came from Barlukan kingdom.

“Don’t wander around at night,” Gerald said before he left Killian and Jasmine in her room. Alpha Winter was staying at the room next to them.

“This place is… worse than the omega’s quarter in my pack,” Jasmine said, as she eyed the bed with suspicious eyes, because there were a few wet blotches there. “Have you ever been in this kingdom?”

“No, not really. Not this part.” The further Killian had gone was at the border, which was the vast land between two kingdoms.

“Let’s get some rest. We will think about this later.” Killian was too tired to think about anything else. He didn’t even think that he could stand anymore. Everything was weighing him down.

“But the bed…” Jasmine shuddered. She thought the bed at the boat was already the worse thing that she could get, or the makeshift bed at the hut.

However, this bed was a whole different thing. You could only imagine what wet blotches on the sheet was.

“Don’t think too much.”

Killian went to the bed and then removed the sheet, as he lay down and soon enough fell asleep.

However, Jasmine couldn’t bring herself to lay down, even if it was next to Killian and the sheet had been removed. It didn’t help at all actually.

She looked around, trying to find a way so she could sleep better, but there was nothing. She had to accept her fate sleeping on the that questionable bed, or she would sleep on the floor.

“Ugh. I don’t like this…” Jasmine felt like crying when the bed touched her skin. She shuddered to imagine what the people had done here without even bothered to clean it up.

She tossed and turned, but she couldn’t sleep, her skin crawled. She was disgusted.

“Killian…” Jasmine tried to wake Killian up, but he had fallen deep in his sleep. He didn’t budge. Therefore, she didn’t bother him anymore, because she could see how tired he was.

Instead, she got up from the bed with the intention to find a clean sheet in the other room. She saw a few empty rooms in this corridor, so one of them must be decent enough to be used.

With that thought in her mind, Rania went out.

Gerald had told them not to wander around, but she couldn’t help it. Moreover, she didn’t go too far.

Once she was outside, Jasmine went to the closer room, and checked the bedsheet, but she was surprised to see an omega and a warrior there. They had the best time in their lives.

The only reason why Jasmine didn’t hear them earlier, it was because the omega was being gagged.
