The conversation was devastating for Jasmine. She couldn’t believe that was how Killian was feeling all this time. He had harbored feeling for his stepsister for years.

And what she was? What was she in his heart? Did she even have a place in his heart? Jasmine doubted that.

The only reason that he kept her was because he had nowhere to go and she was his ticket for safety.

However, the land that they thought would be their safety place, apparently was not like they thought.

Because from outside, people started shouting, warning them that there was an attack.

“An attack? We are under attack?” Killian immediately stood up. He was sure this pack was far from the border, but how could there was an attack from Aspen Kingdom?

He had heard that king Maximus himself had led the war, but he couldn’t imagine how fast he moved to reach this spot.

How many packs that was under his control by now?

“Get dressed,” Killian said to Jasmine, as he went to the door, he didn’t step outside, but he got a warrior to tell him what actually was going on, as he ran in the corridor.

And just like what Killian had expected. It was king Maximus and his gamma, who led the war. They already here.

“How could they be here? The border is so far from this pack.” Unless Killian remembered the layout of this kingdom wrongly, he was certain that the border was a few days away if you travelled by car.

“Border?” The warrior furrowed his brows. “What border? The border had been taken down so long ago, there is no longer a border. King Maximus leads the warriors to the palace, while his royal gamma leads this attack to the rest of the packs.”

The warrior explained in detail, though he was in hurry and was a little bit irritated because Killian stopped him, but there was something in Killian that made the warrior unable to ignore him, as if he was talking to an alpha.

He was not really mistaken, since Killian was supposed to be the alpha of the Black Stone Pack and later on, after the death of alpha Xaden, he should be the alpha of the Bloody Wolf Pack.

Unfortunately, both packs had ceased to exist. Just like alpha Winter, who was an alpha without a pack, a warrior, or even a pack member, all of them died.

“I can’t chat with you for long. You need to go out too!” And the warrior left to defend the pack.

“Go out?” Killian narrowed his eyes dangerously. He glanced at the silver bracelet on her wrist with murderous look.

“We need to go,” Jasmine said, she was already dressed. She had her hair up and worn her jacket because it was rather cold tonight. “We need to meet with the other and go to the bunker,” she said again.

Chapter 223

“No. We need to find him.” Killian then grabbed Jasmine’s hand and ran in the corridor.

There were a lot of people here, as they rushed towards the safety of the bunker. It was a common practice. Whenever the pack was under attack. all the children, women and elderly, or the people who couldn’t fight, would go to the safety place, and waited for the battle to die down.

And right now, it was a chaos. All of the people were panicking and the pack warriors were not integrated well enough. Some of them didn’t know what to do, while the other looked for their family, instead of heading

towards the bunker.

It should be a common sense for them to gather in the safety place first before they looked for their family. Even the children in the Black Stone Pack, or any other pack in the Aspen kingdom knew this, just in case they were separated from their family.

However, this pack was a catastrophe.

“Where are we going?” Jasmine asked with a frown. So many people bumped onto her and she almost lost her balance if it was not for Killian, who held her tightly.

He pulled her closer and now he put his arm around her waist, pressed her body against him, so she wouldn’t get separated from him.

“Looking for Gerald!” Killian said, he raised his voice because it was too noisy here.

“What for?!” Jasmine did the same. She grimaced when someone stepped on her toes.

“I need him to unlock the bracelet. I can’t fight with it.”

Jasmine shook her head. “No. I think we should go to the bunker. All of our people must have headed there.”

Killian shook his head this time. “No. That can’t do. This pack will not withstand the assault. This pack will fall, it is only a matter of time.”

Killian was good at strategy, and he could read the situation. In his eyes, this pack was doomed from the beginning. The warriors had no coordination whatsoever.

Not to mention with the strength of the warrior from the Aspen kingdom, they would bulldoze this place within an hour or two.

If that happened, there was nowhere to escape the predicament. They were going to die, especially when Killian couldn’t shift into his beast.

They needed to escape this pack, instead of going to the bunker, because soon enough, the warrior from the Aspen would find out about the bunker too.

“Killian, what about the other people?” Jasmine had lost so many people, and those warriors that had been following them were the only family she had, the remaining of her pack.

“We need to find Gerald first and get the key.”

Killian was adamant to get the key from him. They had no chance to survive without being able to shift into
