Divorced and Pregnant My New Life with a Billionaire Drives My Ex Crazy novel Chapter 381

“I thought I’d never see you again.” Molly’s voice trembled as she clung to Wiona, her tears soaking Wiona’s shoulder. “I’m so useless. I brought you nothing but trouble and shame. Wiona, you saved me again. Of course it had to be you…” Her words faded as her eyes fluttered shut and she fainted.

Wiona panicked, ready to rush straight to her, but Conrad grabbed her arm. “Wait,” he said quietly. “They’ll bring her up. We’ll take her back to the Sullivan estate, and Jason will look after her. Remember, he’s a psychologist. He’ll know how to help her heal.”

Only then did Wiona allow herself to breathe, feeling the tension leave her body.

The next morning, as soon as she woke up, Wiona went to check on Molly. Molly was already awake, sitting up in bed. Thanks to the quick rescue, her injuries weren’t too bad—mostly just shaken nerves and some scrapes. The moment she saw Wiona, Molly burst into tears and threw herself into her arms, sobbing so hard she could barely talk.

“Wiona, I only went back to my hometown with my dad because I didn’t want to cause you any more problems. I thought I could hide from everything, but they found me anyway. I’m so weak. I should have worked harder, gotten stronger, made myself someone no one would dare touch. I should be your right hand, not your burden…” She buried her face in Wiona’s shoulder, her voice muffled by tears.

Shelly came in behind Wiona, carrying a tray with a simple breakfast. She stopped for a second, watching Molly sob in Wiona’s arms. That’s what it looks like to really be close to someone, she thought with a pang of envy. She’s crying in front of Wiona without feeling even a bit embarrassed. How long would it take for her to get that kind of trust? She made a silent promise to herself to work harder, her eyes shining with determination.

Molly must have felt her stare, because she glanced over with a little suspicion. Wiona quickly made the introduction. “This is Shelly,” she said with a smile. “She helps take care of me.”

Shelly nodded warmly. “Hi, Molly. We’d love to have you stay. I’ll leave you two alone to talk.” She set down the tray and quietly slipped out, leaving them to catch up.

Wiona took a tissue and gently wiped Molly’s tears. “You silly girl. I never thought of you as a burden. Honestly, I feel guilty you got dragged into this again because of me. But you’re right about one thing. You can’t run from your problems. We have to face them, even fight them, if we want things to change. I’ve learned that lesson the hard way. So stop beating yourself up. Eat something first. We’ll figure out the rest together, one step at a time.”

Molly nodded, sniffling, and realized just how hungry she was. After scarfing down a few bites, she looked up, hesitant. “Wiona, do you really think I can stay at the Sullivan estate? I still want to go to school, but I want to learn to protect myself, too. I studied a bit with Mason, but it’s not enough. I want to learn how to fight, how to escape, how to keep you safe. Can I really learn all that here?”

Wiona smiled and handed her a peeled apple. “Of course you can. I talked to Conrad about it last night. You can go to school and come back here during holidays to work and train. As long as I’m here, this place is always open to you. And the Sullivan security team is basically a bunch of ex-special forces. They can teach you everything you want to know.”

Molly’s eyes lit up. “How about this? I’ve already taken a break from school this semester. I haven’t learned anything, and if I go back now, I’ll probably just fail. Why don’t I just re-enroll next year? That way, I can stay here for the rest of this year, earn some money for tuition, and learn everything I can. What do you think?”
