Katie’s phone buzzed with notifications.
Her social media accounts was blowing up with comments and messages.
A picture of her and Liam on the bed was spreading like wildfire, and everyone was gasping in shock.
The comments were brutal, bashing her for supposedly going back to her ex and standing up her current fiancé on their wedding day.
“What kind of woman does that?” one comment read. “Disgusting,” another said.
Lucian’s eyes scanned the comments, his face etched with worry and concern.
Cora approached him, her expression smug. “Can you see? This is a disgrace. This is the woman you decided to get married to.”
Lucian snapped, his patience wearing thin. “Mom, please, not now.”
He didn’t believe Katie would do something like this.
There had to be more to the story.
His mom raised an eyebrow. “After what you’ve seen, you’re still going to search for her?”
His jaw clenched. “Mom, I know Katie. She wouldn’t do that. I have to go find her, figure out what’s going on.”
Despite the evidence, he was determined to get to the bottom of things, no matter what it took.
A video of Katie allegedly pushing Dakota down the stairs also started trending online, with nany believing it was proof of Katie’s true nature.
There was another video.
Dakota was seen crying, claiming that Katie had caused her to lose her baby.
How could you be so vicious?” Dakota sobbed. “You allowed me to lose my baby, the one I hac or Lucian, all because you wanted to get married to him.”
The comments were brutal, with many calling Katie heartless and cruel.
She’s actually really evil,” one commenter said.
And now Dakota lost her child because of her.”
The online community was torn, with some defending Katie and others viciously attacking her.
But one thing was clear.
Katie’s reputation was taking a hit.
Meanwhile, Lucian was still searching for Katie, determined to get to the bottom of everything.
Katie’s eyes widened as she took in her surroundings.
She was tied to the bed, and Liam was sitting in a chair, smiling at her.
‘What the heck, Liam? What am I doing here?” she demanded, trying to keep her voice steady.
His smile grew wider. “You’re exactly where you’re meant to be, Katie. You’re going to marry me,
just like we planned.”
Her eyes flashed with anger. “You can’t be serious! I have a wedding to get to, and it’s not with you. It’s with Lucian.”
His expression turned cold. “You’re not going anywhere. You’re going to stay right here with me.”
She struggled against the restraints, but they were too tight. “You’re crazy. Let me go!”
Liam chuckled. “You’re not going anywhere. And look at you, you’re so beautiful in that wedding dress. It’s almost like you were meant to wear it for me.”
Her face burned with rage. “You’re out of your mind, Liam. Untie me right now!”
Liam pulled out his phone and showed her the videos and comments online.
Katie’s eyes widened in horror as she saw the footage of her allegedly pushing Dakota down the stairs, and the vicious comments from everyone.
‘See, Katie? Everyone hates you right now. What do you have to go back to?” Liam sneered.
Her mind was racing. She had to get out of there, no matter what it took.
She looked at Liam, her eyes locked on his. “You’re going to regret this, Liam. Lucian will find me and he’ll make you pay for this.”
Liam’s smile faltered for a moment, but then he regained his composure. “I’m not afraid of Lucian. I’m not afraid of anything.”
This is all a setup, isn’t it?” she spat. “You orchestrated this whole thing just to humiliate me.”
iam’s expression was smug. “If you’d only cooperated with me from the start, it wouldn’t have ad to come to this,”
Lucian would find you and deal with you.”
You’re only dreaming. There’s no knight in shining armor coming to save you. We’re going to get narried, and we’re going to live happily ever after.”
Katie’s voice was laced with contempt. “You’re despicable. I wouldn’t touch you with a ten–foot
>ole.”
Liam’s face darkened, and he took a step closer to Katie, his eyes blazing with anger. “You’re joing to learn a lesson,”
But before he could lay a hand on her, the doors burst open, and Lucian rushed in, his eyes ocked on Liam with a fierce intensity.
The air was charged with tension as the two men faced off angrily.
The fight was intense but short–lived. Lucian’s superior strength and skill quickly overpowered Liam, and he was knocked out in a matter of minutes.
As Liam lay motionless on the floor, Lucian rushed over to Katie, his eyes scanning her face with
concern.
“I’ve got you,” he whispered, his voice soft and reassuring. “I’ve got you, Katie.”
Her eyes welled up with tears as she gazed at him. “Thank the goddess you came,” she whispered, her voice trembling.
Lucien’s arms wrapped around her, holding her close as he worked to untie her. “I’m here now,” he whispered, his breath warm against her ear. “You’re safe.”
