Enchanted Nightfall Falling for Destiny (Quintessa and Tyrone) novel Chapter 432

Mrs. York waved her hand dismissively, "You think I was born yesterday?"

With a sigh, she continued, "I should have switched those pills when we were in Zion City. It's all because of you, thick as a plank, not seeing what's right in front of you."

Tyrone rolled his eyes and left the house with the bottle of vitamins, a sly smile creeping up his face.

He had planned to switch the pills anyway... but if things went south and someone got hurt, Quinn couldn't pin it all on him. He couldn't smooth things over alone.

But their dear old granny, that was a different story. Tyrone could tell Quinn had a soft spot for his mom, probably seeing in her the maternal love she'd been missing, feeling an unconscious bond.

So, dragging his mom into the scheme was a joint conspiracy. If the truth ever came out, they'd have his mom to take the heat.

Surely, Quinn wouldn't hold it against her, considering her affection for his mom.

Tyrone went to meet Quintessa with the "birth control" pills.

Quintessa didn't even look at them, just popped them in her mouth and washed them down with water, then commented, "Why do these taste sweet this time?"

Tyrone, sweating bullets, replied off the cuff, "Oh, the folks at the clinic said these are the latest and greatest."

Quintessa didn't think much of it.

...

Quintessa thought they had at least another fortnight before starting on "Whispers in the Wind," but after breakfast, the director informed her that due to lead actor Quennel Sampson's schedule changes, they had to start ASAP.

She had to leave that afternoon.

As she was leaving, Tyrone warned her, "Andrew, I'll handle him. But until then, avoid any confrontations. If you run into him when I'm not around, dodge and let me know immediately."

Quintessa nodded, "I'm about to start filming, even if I wanted to find him, I wouldn't have the time."
