Chapter 105 Rejection
She shook her head. “I’m not rushing. I’ll keep you company a little longer.”
Jaime’s heart warmed, and she suddenly asked, “Did Jasper not come today?”
Tatiana’s face stiffened, and she didn’t reply.
Jaime was observant. Seeing her reaction, she guessed what happened and said with a chuckle, “Husbands and wives are just upper lip to lower lip; they can’t help but argue. Life passes in these little spats. Anything can be resolved. And I think Jasper, that young man, though cold, seems like a polite person.”
Tatiana gave a self–deprecating smile in her heart. He is only impolite to me.
“Go on, talk things out with him properly.”
She offered no explanation, letting the past remain in the past.
She only said, “Grandma, I don’t remember him. To me, he is just a stranger.”
Jaime paused, then smiled again. “It’s nothing major. Just get to know each other again.”
“Grandma, he and I are not from the same world.”
This time, Jaime stopped smiling. She, too, could see that Jasper was born into wealth and status, and Cindy now…
“I’m not good enough for him. We won’t be happy.”
These words were overheard by Jasper, who was standing right outside the door.
He halted his steps.
Jaime gently sighed and patted her hand. “I’m sorry, I was wrong. This can’t be forced. As long as you’ve thought it through, that’s all that matters.”
Tatiana didn’t want to dwell on the subject, so she changed the topic. After talking for a while, she saw Jaime looking drowsy and let her fall asleep.
She was still thinking about the stack of cardboard boxes back home that hadn’t been sold yet. Once Jaime was asleep, she decided to head back.
As she walked out of the ward, she saw Jasper standing by the door, his eyes deeply
contemplative.

She walked straight ahead, ignoring him. As she passed, her shoulder was grabbed.
“Where are you going?”
His tone was very flat.
But the grip on her shoulder was firm, holding her securely.
“I’m going home.”
“Come with me to a place.”
He spoke habitually, giving an order.
Tatiana did not obey and said with a look of confusion, “Is that how you always talk?”
“What do you mean?”
“That commanding tone.”
“Tatiana.”
She shook her head. “My name is Cindy.”
“You are not her.”
“I am her now.”
Jasper stared at her intently, his gaze both familiar and strange, as if he had never known this side of her.
Could she really have amnesia?
Perhaps.
Otherwise, she would not look at him with such eyes.
“Please step aside, I have things to do.”
He released his grip, watching her figure walk away.
His phone vibrated. He answered the call, and a sweet voice came through. “Jasper, why haven’t
you come back yet? I specially cooked your favorite dishes for you today.”
He looked at the empty space ahead and answered quietly, “All right.”
Maple Manor.

Bianca secretly poured a small bottle of liquid into the soup, stirring it thoroughly.
This was the ‘good stuff‘ she had specifically acquired.
She absolutely had to secure Jasper tonight, or the news about the life in her belly wouldn’t stay
hidden!
I wonder if Jasper has some problem? Why hasn’t he touched me even once since we got married!
It can’t be. He managed to get that bitch Tatiana pregnant, so he definitely has no problem.
Thinking of this, her hatred for Tatiana deepened. Why did Tatiana get all the good things? It was infuriating!
“Bianca.”
The sudden voice startled her. She turned around and realized Jasper had returned.
“Jasper, you’re back!”
“Yes. What are you doing?”
“I’m making soup! A big nourishing tonic! You’re just in time. Go take a seat, and I’ll bring it up.”
“You don’t need to do these things yourself.”
“It’s fine. I wanted to cook for you.”
She brought the soup out and felt relieved only after watching him drink it all.
After dinner, Jasper went to his study to deal with work, holding a brief video conference.
By the time it ended, it was already midnight.
