Chapter 106 The Bargain

“Bianca.”

“I don’t care! Please be with me, just prove to me that I am your wife.”

With the conversation having reached this point, refusing further would not make him an acceptable husband.

Jasper paused, grabbed a nearby towel to wrap around his waist, and then scooped her up, walking forward with long strides.

Bianca’s small face was flushed. She wrapped her arms around his neck, her heart pounding with anticipation.

Looking at his handsome face, she couldn’t help but feel infatuation.

Even if she was initially attracted to the Jackson family’s power, after spending these past few years with him, no one could fail to fall for this man.

He was noble, powerful, calculating, and the Jasper that everyone revered and feared–he possessed a fatal allure that no one could resist.

Tatiana was foolish, but she wasn’t blind.

No one knew that four years ago, Jasper was ambushed during a business trip, betrayed, and chased by an enemy family. He was severely injured and lost contact for ten full days!

Afterward, she saw many strangers and luxury cars appearing near the village, as if they were searching for something.

Those men in black suits came to the village showing a photo.

She recognized the person in the photo as the man by the river. She suddenly realized this man was a major figure and her biggest hope of leaving the village.

She made a decision. She went to the hut, knocked Tatiana unconscious when she wasn’t looking, threw her into the river, and then took her place, caring for the temporarily blinded Jasper.

The plan was successful.

She acquired the token Jasper left behind and also acquired Tatiana’s identity papers.

Later, she met the lunatic Baron. With his help, she altered the hospital’s paternity test records, successfully replacing the real daughter and becoming the eldest daughter herself.

Everything she held was won by her own efforts! She deserved to enjoy it!

Now, she was only missing the final step—a child!

“Jasper, take me.”

Her voice was soft and seductive as she begged for love.

Jasper leaned down and pressed against her. A surge of heat rushed through his body, coupled with a powerful urge.

Noticing the change in his body, Bianca felt triumphant, but just as she was about to enjoy his possession, Jasper suddenly stood up.

“You go to sleep first. I have something to take care of.”

Bianca was stunned, her face rigid. She was about to stop him when he had already left the

room.

She was so angry she nearly burst out swearing.

Jasper sat back against the sofa, his head tilted back, staring blankly at the ceiling. His Adam’s apple bobbed as he let out a harsh, self–mocking laugh.

The towel around his waist showed a slight bulge.

Yet, his mind was filled with Tatiana’s image and the night four years ago, the sight of her shyly wincing in pain beneath him.

He must be crazy.

To be thinking of her now.

Though his body felt like it was burning, he felt no desire whatsoever.

Damn it.

At this moment, Tatiana took advantage of the deepening night and quietly went to the agreed- upon location.

Someone was already waiting there.

Baron, wearing a hat and a jacket, sat on a brick. When he saw her approach, he smiled. “You came. I thought you wouldn’t.”

Tatiana said nothing, walked over, and silently held out her hand.

Baron did not give her the items, but asked jokingly, “Did your plan succeed?”

She pressed her lips together. “Almost.”

“Is that so? You had better hurry. Your time is running out. You have fifteen days. I’ll be waiting for you.”

With that, Baron offered her two candies.

These were not candies.

They were the items controlling her.

Tatiana stared silently at the two candies, tightening her grip.

Baron guessed what she was thinking and smiled. “What, don’t want to eat them? If you don’t, you might die, or you might become a mindless fool who doesn’t recognize anyone. It all depends on your luck.”

She peeled back the wrappers and swallowed the candies inside.
