138 Serene Pavilion
Jasper’s eyes narrowed sharply as he processed the information. “She told you to go inside?” he asked, his voice low and tense.
Minnic nodded, his expression uneasy. “Yes, she said there was a surprise waiting for me in Room 909.”
There was no room left for confusion or misunderstanding. Jasper fixed Minnic with a piercing stare, his voice cold and deliberate as he repeated, “You did this?”
“No, no, it wasn’t me! I don’t know— I… I…” Minnie stammered, her words tumbling out in a panicked rush. She struggled to form a coherent defense but failed miserably.
At that moment, a subordinate hurried in with an update. “Boss, we’ve confirmed it. The person who slipped the drug into the drink was a waiter. He’s been caught, and he admitted it—said he was acting on orders.”
“Whose orders?” Jasper demanded, his tone sharp.
The subordinate glanced at Minnie before replying, “It was… Ms. Minnie.”
Jasper’s reaction was immediate and fierce. He shoved Minnie hard, his anger erupting. “How dare you!”
Minnie collapsed, her legs buckling beneath her. She looked pale, her face drained of color, and she tried weakly to defend herself. “No, it wasn’t me! He must be lying! I didn’t do it!”
But the subordinate was relentless. “We have the call records.”
Then, an audio clip was played.
Minnie’s voice came through clearly, cold and detached as she issued the instructions: “Put the drug in the juice and send it in. Make sure he drinks it. Also, don’t lock the door to Room 909.”
The room fell into stunned silence.
There was nothing left to doubt or deny.
Everyone understood now—Minnie had set a trap, intended to harm someone else, but instead, she had ensnared herself.
Who was the target?
The answer was painfully clear.
Jasper’s face twisted with rage, darker than ever before. The mere thought of Tatiana in that vulnerable position, pressed down by a man, ignited a fierce, monstrous fury inside him.
“Minnie, you’re playing with fire,” he growled. “You’re courting death.”
The evidence was undeniable.
Minnie’s attempts at protest crumbled under Jasper’s murderous gaze. Her heart sank as she realized the depth of her predicament.
“Take her away,” Jasper ordered coldly.
Two bodyguards stepped forward, ready to restrain her.
Minnie fought back desperately. “Where are you taking me?”
“To Serene Pavilion,” came the reply.
