Even in Darkness She Chose to Rise (Tatiana and Jasper) novel Chapter 214

**TITLE: Even the Night Couldn’t Silence Her Light**
**Chapter 214 Thousand Corp**

Bianca sat in her chair, her posture slumped and her complexion pale, as if the very weight of the world had settled upon her shoulders. She felt numb, a chilling sensation spreading through her limbs, rendering her almost immobile.

Tavin, on the other hand, was grappling with an entirely different kind of turmoil. He had suffered the most significant loss in this debacle. The single they had painstakingly crafted was now marred by accusations of plagiarism, rendering it entirely unusable. The promises he had made to his boss felt like chains binding him, and his anger had nowhere to find release. It churned within him, a tempest of frustration and helplessness.

With a forced smile that barely touched his eyes, Tavin addressed Bianca. “Mrs. Jackson, perhaps it would be best if you went home for today. We’ll be in touch regarding the next steps.” If it hadn’t been for her esteemed title, he would have been far less lenient. Damn it! The foremost priority now was to secure the rights to Tati’s song, regardless of the obstacles that lay ahead.

Just as Tatiana was about to exit the building, Anna called out to her, halting her in her tracks. “Wait!”

Turning around, Tatiana responded, “Ms. Anna?”

“Don’t call me that. I just quit. I’m not a director anymore. Just call me Anna,” she insisted, her voice firm yet tinged with a hint of liberation.

Tatiana’s eyes widened in surprise. “You didn’t have to do that because of me,” she said, her voice laced with concern.

Anna offered a wry smile, one that didn’t quite reach her eyes. “It wasn’t solely because of you. I was miserable there anyway. Tavin has been ingratiating himself with the Vice President, making my life a living hell. This was just the last straw. I was ready to leave that toxic environment long before this. I’m done tolerating their nonsense!”

Seeing the genuine relief on Anna’s face, Tatiana felt a wave of comfort wash over her. She would have felt an unbearable guilt if Anna had resigned solely due to her.

Now free from the shackles of her job, Anna appeared remarkably at ease. “It’s lunchtime,” she declared with a bright smile. “Why don’t we grab a bite to eat? Consider it my apology for dragging you back here and a little celebration for escaping that dreadful company!”

Tatiana nodded, her spirits lifting. “Okay, that sounds good.”

They made their way to a charming restaurant nearby, the kind that exuded warmth and comfort.

As they settled into their seats, Anna couldn’t help but replay the earlier events in her mind, a grin spreading across her face. “You were nothing short of amazing! You were logical, methodical, dismantling her arguments one by one until she was left speechless! Tsk, you should have seen their faces! They were utterly defenseless!”

Tatiana smiled faintly in response, but her heart felt heavy. This wasn’t the first time Bianca had resorted to underhanded tactics. Years ago, another one of her songs had been stolen, and she hadn’t been able to prove it. To repeat that mistake would be nothing short of foolishness.

“But seriously, how did Bianca even know about your song? Did you mention it to her?” Anna’s curiosity was evident, but Tatiana’s expression darkened at the question. That little boy… She didn’t want to believe he could be capable of such betrayal, but the reality was hard to ignore. Disappointment gnawed at her.

Seeing the shift in Tatiana’s demeanor, Anna wisely chose to steer the conversation in a different direction. Their food arrived, and they engaged in light banter, the atmosphere warming between them despite the earlier tension.

As they neared the end of their meal, Anna couldn’t help but ask, “What would you have done if you couldn’t prove it was your original work?”

Tatiana glanced at her phone, quickly responding to a message before looking up. “I would have written a better song,” she replied, her tone steady.

Anna’s eyes widened in disbelief. “So you really managed to write another song in just one day?”

“Write a better song,” Tatiana corrected, her confidence unwavering.
