Chapter 221 Consequences
His eyes seemed lost for a moment. A strange thought surfaced: Why does Bianca’s child look like Tatiana?
“Let’s go back first. Let this matter rest for now,” Gordon decided, intervening.
The bodyguards looked to Jasper. Seeing no objection, they fell back into formation. The Lowells breathed a collective sigh of relief.
But before leaving, Jasper said, “Did you tell her about that song?”
Hubert looked up, confused. “Daddy?”
Jasper held out a printed music sheet. “Look.”
Hubert’s eyes widened in recognition. “It’s Ann’s song!”
Bianca’s heart plummeted. Just as she was about to interrupt, Jasper continued, “Your mother claimed this song as her own, putting her name on it.”
Hubert instinctively turned to his mother. “Mommy, is that true?”
“No! Let me explain, I… I thought you wrote it! Everyone says you have such musical talent, so… so I just wanted everyone to know how amazing my son is, that’s why…”
Jasper sneered. “Is that so? Then why is your name on it, not Hubert’s?”
“I…” Bianca was speechless, furious. How did he know about this too? And who is Ann?
“Mommy, did you really do that?” Hubert’s dark eyes were filled with confusion and disappointment.
“Hubert, I didn’t mean to. Please forgive me?”
Hubert fell silent, twisting the hem of his shirt tightly, looking utterly devastated.
Gordon was also shocked. “You’d stoop to something so shameless? And blame it on a child!”
“Grandpa, no, I…” She couldn’t explain. Bianca was visibly panicked, desperately searching for
an excuse.
Hubert suddenly hugged his daddy’s leg. “Daddy, I want to go home…”
Jasper bent down and picked him up. “Consider yourself warned,” he said, leaving.

This time, thanks to Hubert, the Lowells were spared again. But their relief was short–lived. The next day, court officers arrived and seized the entire house.
“What? Foreclosure? No, no, we’re not selling! Get out of my house!”
“Apologies, but the investment project you were involved in is suspected of money laundering. We have the right to seize your assets. Please leave, or we will have to make an arrest.”
The Lowell family’s last remaining asset was gone.
Bianca, who had always been protected, received a harsh slap across the face. “Unfilial daughter!”
Bianca held her cheek, stunned. “You hit me?”
“I’m your
father! What’s wrong
with hitting you? Bringing such shame upon us! Hurry up and think of something!” Henry was furious, his hypocritical fatherly facade gone. He vented all his frustration on Bianca, ignoring her swollen cheek.
Lauren tried to stop the officers. “Don’t take my house! This is my house! You can’t sell it!” But they showed no sympathy and forcibly removed her. Marilyn couldn’t take the humiliation and fainted. Chaos erupted again.
When Xavier rushed back and saw the mess, his heart sank. Bianca had already left, abandoning her unconscious mother. The ambulance finally arrived and took Lauren to the hospital. The news wasn’t good: a minor stroke, causing facial drooping. If not treated properly, she could suffer partial paralysis.
As a doctor, Xavier knew the risks. He scrambled to contact specialists while also trying to find a temporary place for them to stay. He had saved some money over the years and managed to buy a small three–bedroom apartment.
But when Chester arrived, he threw an even bigger tantrum, complaining about the size and demanding Xavier buy back the villa. Xavier remained silent.
Seeing his son’s passive state enraged Henry further. He grabbed a cup and hurled it at him. “How did I end up with such a useless son!”
Shards struck Xavier’s forehead, drawing blood. Feeling the warmth trickle down, Xavier’s long–suppressed emotions finally exploded. “Enough! How long are you going to keep this up? The Lowell family is finished! Face reality!” His rare outburst actually stunned Henry into
