**Even the Night Couldn’t Silence Her Light**
**Chapter 228: Message From J**
The air was thick with excitement as a whirlwind of youth flocked around the stunning, lavish roses. Their vibrant colors and intoxicating fragrance were simply irresistible. After all, what harm could there be in snapping a quick photo for social media? The promotional wave for the new song had kicked off with a bang, and Ann was in the thick of it, her enthusiasm infectious as she gleefully distributed the roses.
Tatiana watched her daughter with a heart full of warmth; the initial heaviness that had settled in her chest began to lift with each smile that graced Ann’s face. It was a sight that filled her with joy, reminding her of the simple pleasures in life. As the last of the roses were handed out and the truck stood empty, exhaustion washed over the group. Tatiana, with a sense of duty, divided the remaining blooms among the helpers before deciding to take a small bundle home for herself.
As darkness enveloped the world outside, Tatiana settled down for the evening. After reading Ann her favorite bedtime story, she was about to switch off the light when her daughter’s innocent voice broke through the quiet. “Mommy, do you want to get married?”
The question hit Tatiana like a bolt from the blue, nearly causing her heart to skip a beat. “Why do you ask that, Ann?” she managed to respond, her mind racing.
“Were the flowers today from someone who likes Mommy?” Ann’s wide, curious eyes searched her mother’s face for answers.
“No! Absolutely not!” The words escaped her lips, fueled by a sudden rush of anger. That man was nothing but trouble!
Ann squirmed under the covers, her big, watery eyes pleading for understanding. “Mommy, if you like someone, you shouldn’t give up!”
“Ann…” Tatiana began, but the little girl’s earnestness made her pause.
“If Mommy likes him, then I like him. Mommy doesn’t have to worry about me.”
Tatiana felt her heart melt at her daughter’s unwavering support. She leaned down and planted a gentle kiss on Ann’s soft cheek. “How could I? You, my dear Ann, are all I need.”
A radiant smile blossomed on Ann’s face, and she returned the kiss with a warmth that filled Tatiana’s heart with love. “Goodnight, Mommy!”
“Goodnight, my baby,” Tatiana replied, her voice soft as she left the room, closing the door behind her. She made her way to the study, determined to finish her work. Ann’s words lingered in her mind, wrapping her in a comforting embrace that made her fingers dance across the keyboard more efficiently.
Just as she was about to wrap up, her phone lit up on the desk, and a message caught her eye. She glanced at it casually, but then froze, her heart racing.
“Did you like the flowers today?”
The phone nearly slipped from her grasp. That creep again!

“Who are you? What do you want? Stop bothering me! Or I’ll call the police!” she typed furiously, her fingers shaking with a mix of fear and anger.
“You don’t like red roses? Then tulips… Or what do you like?”
