Chapter 74 Stolen Melodies
Before Tatiana could reply, the others chimed in.
“Of course! We were all Tatiana’s classmates. Fancy meeting you here!”
“Tatiana, we heard you dropped out and went to prison?”
“So you’re out now? And you can still afford to attend a Maestro Bell performance?”
Hearing this, the smile faded from Chandler’s face. These weren’t the words of friendly classmates.
Maestro Bell, standing nearby, understood some Chinese and asked curiously, “You all went to the same school?”
It turned out that today’s accompanying orchestra was composed entirely of graduates from Dalliston University’s music department.
“She was the most talented among us back then! Incredibly popular, the teachers‘ favorite!”
The words sounded like praise but dripped with sour sarcasm.
Back then, Tatiana wasn’t just exceptionally skilled with the violin; she was stunningly beautiful and came from a prestigious family. She was the reigning belle of the department, constantly sought after. Of course, everyone knew she was utterly devoted to Jasper, who had already graduated. She was either chasing him or on her way to chase him – hopelessly smitten. They wouldn’t have dared laugh then, but now they held nothing back, their eyes filled with scorn.
Maestro Bell missed the deeper meaning and said with genuine surprise, “Is that so? Was she truly the most talented among you?”
“Yes, yes! Extremely talented!”
“Tatiana! This is a golden opportunity! Play something for Maestro Bell!”
“You can’t pass up a chance like this!”
Maestro Bell genuinely admired talented young people and had a kind disposition, but he wasn’t adept at catching sarcasm. He looked at Tatiana expectantly,
One bolder classmate pulled out their violin and offered it to her. “Come on, play something for the Maestro!”
All eyes focused on her.

She was completely cornered.
Four years ago, Tatiana would have cherished this opportunity.
Now, she instinctively recoiled.
Her hands… they could no longer produce beautiful music.
Chandler saw their malicious intent and was about to lead Tatiana away when the door opened again.
The person entering came face–to–face with those leaving. Both sides froze.
Bianca feigned surprise. “Oh, you’re here too.”
It was Bianca and Jasper.
The situation was already chaotic.
Yet Bianca stepped forward enthusiastically, taking Tatiana’s arm and saying warmly, “I have good news! Maestro Bell is going to be my teacher from now on. I mentioned I wanted to learn the violin, and Jasper found him for me!”
Tatiana’s eyes widened, staring at Jasper.
Years ago, Maestro Bell had been invited for a private performance at Jackson Corp. She had desperately wanted to study under him and had begged Jasper for an introduction. He refused, dismissing her with, “Don’t bother me with such trivial matters.”
And now, he had effortlessly given the very thing she had dreamed of to someone else.
He always found a way, time and time again, to break her heart.
Maestro Bell was aware of the arrangement but added a condition, “I need to hear you play.”
Bianca’s face stiffened. She said plaintively, “Maestro Bell, wasn’t this already agreed upon?”
“Yes, but I have basic requirements for my
students.”
Jasper had spent a fortune to secure Bell as Bianca’s teacher. This sudden demand was unexpected.
Jasper knew Bianca could play the violin and had talent, though she rarely showed it. He said naturally, “Bianca, give it a try.”
The others looked on with anticipation. When Bianca had returned to the Lowell family, she had publicly released several compositions that were considered astounding. Those pieces

remained impressive even now. Coupled with an anonymous performance video, they had cemented her reputation as a musical prodigy.
Bianca fought down her panic. “I hurt my hand today. It’s not convenient for me to play.”
No one doubted her. Someone even added, “Maestro Bell, she’s incredible! She composes too. Her music is beautiful! A true genius!”
