**Chapter 52: Nail It**
**Leonardo’s POV:**
I found myself utterly speechless, grappling with the weight of my thoughts.
Before the last echoes of my grandmother’s voice had completely dissipated, my grandfather’s voice cut through the air like a sharp knife, “Leon, when are you going to bring that Ms. Anderson over for us to meet? I’ve heard she’s not only stunningly beautiful but also incredibly intelligent!”
“We’ve just met. It’s too soon,” I replied, my tone tinged with helplessness, as if I were trying to fend off a relentless wave.
“Just met? We’ve been keeping track. It’s been over a week since you two first crossed paths!” my grandfather shot back, his words filled with a mixture of disbelief and urgency.
With a heavy sigh, I replied, “I’ll find another opportunity. She’s the type who takes her time to warm up. Let’s take it slow for now. Maybe once we’re engaged, I can arrange for you to meet her.”
My grandmother interjected, her voice firm yet nurturing, “So she’s not in a hurry, and that means you’re not either? If you’re not eager about love, then something’s definitely off with your attitude!”
My grandfather chimed in, “Your grandmother’s absolutely right. You can’t just drag your feet in a relationship.”
Even through the phone, their palpable eagerness was overwhelming, pressing down on me like a heavy blanket.
“Alright, I’ll find a chance to bring her to meet you,” I finally relented, unable to withstand their enthusiasm any longer. Without waiting for their response, I abruptly hung up, feeling a mixture of relief and frustration.
I couldn’t help but reflect on that night when Natalie had promised to dance with me. I had waited for what felt like an eternity, only to be left in the lurch, watching the crowd swirl around me while she remained conspicuously absent.
Later, I attempted to call her, but my efforts were met with silence.
Work had consumed me entirely. After sending her the carefully wrapped gift, I had unintentionally let her slip from my mind.
As I opened my phone, I was greeted by the stark emptiness of our chat history, a void that mirrored my own feelings of uncertainty.
After a brief moment of hesitation, I dialed Natalie’s number, my heart racing with a mix of hope and apprehension.
**Natalie’s POV:**
Standing in the gleaming office building of the Moon-Shadowed Pack, I felt the weight of anticipation behind me. Five young she-wolves, fresh from their resignation at Thorn Pack, were clustered together, their expressions a blend of excitement and disbelief. They gazed up at the magnificent gilded letters spelling out “the Scott Group,” which shimmered in the sunlight, nearly blinding them with its brilliance.
“Natalie… Is this really the headquarters of Moon-Shadowed Pack’s Scott Group? I applied here last time, and there was no response at all… And now we’re just walking right in?” one girl murmured, her voice a mix of awe and skepticism.
I couldn’t help but smile and pushed open the door to our pre-arranged temporary office area. The space was vast and airy, and through the enormous floor-to-ceiling windows, we were greeted with a breathtaking view of the entire financial district—a sight they had only ever encountered in dry financial reports.
After everyone settled in, I laid out the materials from the failed project that Samuel had handed me, arranging them neatly on the table. I also pulled out a preliminary plan I had drafted and slid it across to them.
