After signing the contract and spending some time talking with the agent, Caroline thought he seemed trustworthy, So she began thinking about asking him to sell her house.
She said, “The price, 200,000 lower than market price. Just one condition, it has to sell fast!”
She stared at the agent, completely serious.
The agent’s eyes lit up right away. “Miss, your neighborhood is very popular. Usually, buyers come as soon as it’s listed. If you drop the price that much…
He rubbed his hands together, looking excited. “Please wait here, I need to call my boss first.”
While he was on the phone, Sisi hurried downstairs.
Raven was still in the car. It had been two hours. She had no idea how he was doing.
When she reached downstairs, she saw a crowd around her car, taking pictures through the windows!
Caroline panicked, her heart started pounding as she ran over.
In the middle of the crowd, a young guy was livestreaming with his phone, pointing it straight at Raven.
He kept tapping on the window, trying to get Raven’s attention.
From where Caroline stood, she could see Raven showing his teeth and tensing up. He was angry but holding himself back.
That made Caroline furious.
“What are you doing?”
She ran over and grabbed the guy’s phone.
The guy, with dyed blond hair, glared at her. “You know it’s illegal to have that kind of dog, right? Scared now? Don’t want people filming you?”
He snatched the phone back and started shouting at the people around him. He said Raven was an illegal dog breed and threatened to call the police to take him away.
More people came closer, peeking through the car window. They saw Raven standing on the seat, taking up almost the entire
back of the car.
“Wow, that’s a huge dog! How can you keep a dog like this in the city? What if it bites someone?”
The blond guy smirked, muttering something rude under his breath.
“My dog is none of your business! And you’re using him for a livestream to get views? Twisting things much?”
When Caroline tried to argue, the guy actually reached out to push her!
Luckily, her reflexes were quick from her previous life. She dodged, but his hand still brushed her collar. She was furious.
She hadn’t wanted a scene with Raven in the car, but this guy had gone way too far!
She glared at him, ready to confront him, when suddenly she heard a click.
Her car had an automatic unlocking feature. When she got about three feet away with the key, the doors unlocked.
unlocked.
Caroline froze, not sure what was happening. Then a black shadow jumped from the back seat, knocking the blond guy flat on the ground.
The guy screamed, but it didn’t help.

Caroline stood up from the ground, watching Raven growl and show his teeth at the guy while jumping around. She felt a strange mix of surprise and admiration.
Is he trying to protect me?
“What’s going on here?”
A firm voice cut through the crowd.
A young officer in uniform walked over.
The blond guy was lying on the ground, pale and shaking. There was a strange puddle under him, and the air smelled bad.
He had peed himself out of fear!
Officer, help! This dog is going to attack me! She’s keeping an illegal dog. Help me!”
Caroline hadn’t expected Raven to do something like that, or even to open the car door by himself. She felt a little embarrassed.
She stepped forward and grabbed Raven’s leash. “Raven, come here.”
Raven immediately obeyed, walking to her side and sitting close. But his big eyes didn’t leave the blond guy, and he showed his teeth like he was warning him.
“Is this a military dog? A retired?”
The officer asked Caroline.
She nodded and took the relevant documents out of the car.
She always carried Raven’s ID whenever they went because he drew so much attention.
“I can tell from how he pinned the guy and jump side to side. That’s how military dogs are trained to handle criminals. By jumping like that, the criminal can’t get up until the soldiers or police take over,” the officer explained.
He looked at Raven’s ID and smiled.
“We have a police dog at our station, and he’s super smart.”
After checking the documents, the officer handed them back quickly.
Then he stared at the blond guy sharply. “So tell me, what did you do to make a military dog act like that?”
At that moment, the crowd started taking Caroline’s side.
They said the blond guy had accused Caroline’s dog of being illegal and even pushed her.
The dog was just defending its owner.
The blond guy didn’t expect this outcome, but he still argued. He insisted that even if Raven was a retired military dog, he shouldn’t be in a crowded place.
“These military dogs can have stress–related issues. What if it bites someone? You can’t just say ‘retired‘ and ignore the rules! I’m doing the right thing, teaching you a lesson!”
He was as stubborn as ever.
The officer’s frown deepened.
Haven kept staring at the blond guy, ready to jump if Caroline gave the signal.

Raven didn’t seem happy about it, but he let her. Then, he slipped behind Caroline like a shy kid who didn’t want to interact
much.
Even that small touch made the girl thrilled. “I can’t believe I just petted a hero dog! Raven, the hero dog who fought criminals in Sylvaris and saved a whole team! Haven’t you seen the news?”
She stood up and explained it to the crowd.
At that moment, the officer finally realized, too. “No wonder the name Raven sounded familiar! This is the same dog from the news! He’s retired now?”
