An idea popped into her mind right away. After checking the prices at the pet store and comparing them to the many choices online, Caroline decided to order cat litter from the internet.

She bought a huge amount–thousands of bags of different kinds. On average, each bag was a little over eight bucks.
For the next while, just carrying all that t cat litter into her storage space was going to be a big workout.
By now, Caroline’s stomach was growling loudly.
Just as she was about to leave, she suddenly felt a warm sensation in her chest.
Her heart skipped a beat.
The last time she felt like this was when she found the gold ore that could upgrade the storage space inside her chest.
She quickly looked around.
On the pet store counter, there was a stone called the “Stone tablet from Mount Terror.”
It was about the size of a palm, gray, and looked ordinary.
But Caroline felt sure that there was something special inside!
She walked around the stone a few times, pretending to be interested, and then asked the owner, “Did this really come from Mount Terror?”
The owner looked at it and laughed. “Oh, that? I bought it as a souvenir when I went hiking Mount Terror. Lots of people sell these. I just thought it looked cool. The stone tablet from Mount Terror is pretty famous, though.”
Caroline smiled. “Can I buy it? I’m renovating my house. I’ve always wanted a nice stone from Mount Terror for the yard, but never had the time to go there.”
The owner chuckled. “This thing probably isn’t worth much. I didn’t pay much for it. But if you like it, since you’re buying so much today I’ll give it to you. Just don’t blame me later if it doesn’t end up being useful as decoration.”
Caroline laughed at the owner’s joke and promised she wouldn’t. She just thought it would be nice to bring it home for decoration.
No matter what she said, the owner wouldn’t take her money for the stone. So she ended up buying even more things from his store.
Earlier, she had already bought all the chicken, beef, venison, and duck–flavored treats.
To buy more, she had to pick sardine, cod, and salmon flavors.
Raven didn’t look happy about it. He kept giving her side glances, as if scolding her for spending too much.
Once they left the pet store, Caroline patted Raven comfortingly. “Think of it as saving some treats for your future girlfriend, okay? What if you meet a female dog who loves these flavors?”
She wasn’t sure if Raven understood what she meant, but he still looked grumpy.
Caroline didn’t have time to worry about that. She rushed back to the car and took out the stone.
After checking, that no one was nearby, she focused–and the stone slid into her storage space.
Just like the gold ore before, it instantly crumbled into powder once it went inside.
Blue sparks floated out, and there were way more than with the gold ore!
As the blue sparks spread through the space, the whole place shook hard.

Caroline’s eyes went wide in surprise.
All of a sudden, a small house appeared in the storage space.
And before she knew it, she found herself standing inside the storage space.
Her storage space had been upgraded again. Now she could even hide in it!
Caroline looked around in wonder, touching everything nearby.
There was no wind, yet the air felt clean and super nice to breathe.
She pushed the small house’s door open. Inside, it was totally empty, about 400 square feet in size.
Outside the door was a small field.
The soil was deep black, looking super fertile.
On the ground lay a rope, about six feet long.
Judging by its position, it was the exact spot where she had thrown a weed yesterday.
So, I planted a weed, grew a rope?
Weird, but it kind of made sense.
The black soil was full of surprise and mystery.

Caroline suddenly thought of something. She took out a loaf of bread from her space and buried it, wanting to see what might grow.
Not far from the house were all the random things she had thrown in before, scattered everywhere.
Looking at the mess, Caroline realized she needed to buy some shelves. Leaving things piled like this wasted too much space.
She walked around a couple more times, full of excitement. Her head was already filled with lots of ideas about how to organize and decorate this place.
If danger came one day, she could even hide here.
The only thing she didn’t know was whether Raven could come inside, too.
With that thought, Caroline quickly left the storage space.
She saw Raven in the car, pacing around in circles, whining softly. He was clearly nervous.
But as soon as he saw her, he stopped, then instantly calmed down. Except for a moment of surprise, he went back to his usual cool, grumpy look.
Caroline clenched her teeth. Oh, just keep pretending!
You were so worried about me, but you’re still pretending like you don’t care. Let’s see how long you can keep that up!
Caroline’s eyes flicked with mischief. What if I suddenly pulled Raven inside the storage space? Would he be completely freaked out
With that thought, she grabbed his paw and focused, entering the storage space,
But the next second, she realized only she had entered. Raven was left outside.
It looked like only one living thing could go inside at a time.
It could be either a person or an animal, but never two together.
She wasn’t sure if that rule would always stay the same.

Either way, she needed to keep exploring. Maybe she would find something new that could upgrade the space again.
This time, Raven didn’t panic when she vanished.
He simply stretched out on the seat, only half–opening an eye when she appeared and disappeared.
All that running around made Caroline even hungrier.
Right then, she started craving food from a restaurant in a shopping mall near her house called Miller’s Delights.
They sold all kinds of fancy snacks–crab pot pies, chocolate lava cakes, truffle mac and cheese bites, shrimp bruschetta, and
more.
Every single one sounded so delicious!
But it wasn’t convenient to bring Raven into the shopping mall, and she didn’t feel safe leaving him in the car alone. Só, she decided to go home first.
But she had already made up her mind. Tomorrow, she would go there and order a whole table of snacks.
When the apocalypse hit and life got tough or stressful, she could always cheer herself up with those snacks.
That soft, sweet, savory filling melting in her mouth–just one bite would fill her with happiness!
When she got back home, she suddenly remembered there were delivery services!
She quickly placed a huge order, stacking up as many snacks as she could, and had delivery guys bring them to her house.
She also ordered her favorite foods from all the nearby places. If the place had delivery, she got it delivered. If it didn’t, she sent someone to pick it up for her.
From the time Caroline reached home until bedtime, her doorbell kept ringing nonstop.
“Hello, your 60 orders of pies are here.”
“Hello, your 30 orders of fried chicken are here.”
“Hello, your 20 orders of morcilla and bean stews are here.”
