Goodbye Saintess (by Edelweiss W.S.) novel Chapter 100

“It must be some retired tycoon, right? Like an old, wise sage who’s seen it all…”

“We’re incredibly lucky!”

The crowd suddenly burst into cheers, their voices rising in excitement as fists punched the air, much like fans at a rock concert.

Even Hera’s three close friends couldn’t resist joining the celebration. Their faces glowed with enthusiasm, their hands clapping vigorously as if trying to summon more energy into the room.

But of course, they couldn’t help sneering at me.

“See? Who do you think you are? Your little analyses don’t mean a thing. But Mr. Goldman’s master? Now that’s the real deal!”

“Exactly. This guy probably watched a few TikTok clips of keynote speakers and decided he was some kind of business guru. What a joke.”

“You should just divorce him, Ms. Bishop. He’s useless — a complete fraud. Better yet, send him to an asylum for shock therapy. Maybe then he’ll learn something.”

Hera paid no attention to their barbs. Her gaze remained locked on the stage, waiting eagerly for the mysterious master to make an appearance.

“You better stay put and keep quiet, Sebastian,” she whispered sharply. “If you walk away now, that master might think you’re disrespectful. I don’t want my company’s reputation dragged through the mud because of you. Besides… aren’t you lucky? Even you get a chance to meet this guru.”

I couldn’t help but laugh, the sound echoing softly in the charged air.

Baron was still looking for me. The moment had come for me to step forward.

I hadn’t expected him to orchestrate such a grand spectacle on my behalf. But it was perfect. This would finally open Hera and her three sycophants’ eyes to what real greatness looked like.

“No, you’re the lucky ones,” I said, my voice low and mysterious. “If only you truly understood.”

“This guy’s the kind who drags the whole ship down with him. Does he really think a few critiques qualify him to take the stage?”

“He’s finished. Forget that guru—Mr. Goldman will tear him apart. Well, at least you’ll finally be rid of him, Ms. Bishop.”

Hera bit her lip so hard it almost bled, anxiety tightening her chest.

Sebastian was about to step onto the stage. The entire situation was on the verge of collapse. She seriously considered pretending not to know him—it might be the only way to shield her company from the fallout.

But despite everything, Sebastian was still her husband. They had shared five years together.

And that bond wasn’t something she could just erase.
