I Owe the Tyrant Four Little Heirs novel Chapter 202

“Mr. Bragg, what’s this all about?” Niamh asked tentatively.

“My secretary is living in a place like this,” Jareth grumbled. “What’s wrong with me helping her out?”

“Are you… pitying me?”

“Yes!”

Niamh was speechless. Fine. If he wanted to feel sorry for her, let him. It was his money, after all.

“Cassian Lynn, you get your ass out here!” a woman’s voice suddenly shrieked from outside. “Cassian, you shameless dog, get out here right now!”

Niamh had been about to close the door when she heard the long-absent but all-too-familiar voice. The woman sounded furious, and she was screaming Cassian’s name.

Ffion?

“And you, Niamh, you worthless girl! You get out here, too!” the voice continued. “If you don’t explain yourself today, I swear I won’t let either of you off the hook!”

Ffion was calling for her now?

Jareth heard it too and drawled sarcastically, “Sounds like someone forgot to lock up their harpy, and now she’s out here biting people.”

Niamh couldn’t help but snort with laughter. Jareth’s tongue was certainly sharp.

A harpy? It was a perfect fit. Ffion might look human on the outside, but she was a shrew to the core. Mr. Bragg wasn’t exaggerating in the slightest.

“Cassian, you coward! You have the guts to do it but not to face me? Don’t blame me for looking down on you!” Ffion yelled, her words punctuated by the sound of her fists hammering against the door. “Come out and say it to my face! Come out! If you don’t, you’re not a man!”
