**TITLE: The Attention 372**
**Chapter 372: Baby Names**

Without a hint of protest, I rose to my feet, allowing him to support me as we began our leisurely stroll around the villa. The evening air was warm, and the soft rustle of leaves accompanied our slow, rhythmic steps.

As we walked, I couldn’t help but sneak furtive glances at him. His face bore a seriousness that was almost humorous, as if he were grappling with some profound philosophical dilemma that weighed heavily on his mind. I wondered what thoughts were swirling around in that handsome head of his.

We ambled past the conservatory when, without warning, he halted, prompting me to stop as well, a wave of confusion washing over me.

“We need two names,” he declared, his tone contemplative. “For both girls and boys. And definitely not Maple.”

I stared at him, realization dawning. So, this was the source of his deep contemplation all along.

“Fine. Not Maple,” I replied, my voice tinged with a hint of amusement. The name had been a whimsical creation of mine, a fleeting thought that had somehow lodged itself in his mind. I never intended for it to be anything more than a playful suggestion.

“So,” I inquired, curiosity piqued, “have you thought of any good ones?”

“I’ll give it some proper thought when we get back,” he replied, a hint of determination in his voice.

A sigh escaped my lips. All that brooding for nothing, it seemed.

We completed our walk, returning inside the villa. Later that night, I lay in bed, the soft strains of music enveloping me as I indulged in some prenatal bonding with our little ones. The gentle melodies filled the room, creating a serene atmosphere.

After a while, I noticed something was off. Ashton was absent.

Sitting up, I swung my legs over the side of the bed and glanced around the dimly lit room. The door to the study down the hall stood slightly ajar, a warm glow spilling through the crack.

Assuming he was immersed in work, I tiptoed over, curiosity guiding my steps. Peering through the half-open door, I craned my neck just enough to catch a glimpse. What I saw made me freeze in place.

Ashton wasn’t working; he was engrossed in a baby name website.

Unable to resist, I stepped inside. He was so absorbed in his task that he didn’t even notice my presence. I watched him scroll through endless lists of names, occasionally jotting down his favorites into a Word document, his brow furrowed in concentration, a look of determination etched on his face.

“You’re really doing baby names now?” I asked, my voice breaking the silence.

He startled, his hand pausing mid-click as he looked up at me, those dark eyes of his wide with surprise.

“What are you doing up?” he questioned, his tone revealing a hint of concern.

If I had looked closely, I might have noticed the faint blush creeping across his ears.

“I saw you hadn’t come back to bed, so I thought I’d check on you,” I replied, a smile playing on my lips.

His expression softened, a gentleness replacing the earlier intensity. He reached for me, inviting me to sit on his lap.

As I settled in, he wrapped his arms around my waist, his hands resting delicately on my stomach. We stayed like that for a moment, his chin resting lightly on my shoulder as he sought to feel the tiny life stirring beneath his palms.

“Do you have any names you like?” he asked quietly, his voice barely above a whisper.

I turned my gaze to his laptop, where the document was open, filled with names.
