Karma Doesn’t Sleep The Revenge Queen Rises novel Chapter 379

Clive was dead set on believing Kristen was pure, sweet, and completely innocent. Amelia didn’t even bother arguing with him anymore. She just walked straight inside.

They both sat down at the divorce office counter. The clerk looked up and was clearly thrown for a second.

In front of him sat a seriously attractive couple—the guy was handsome, the woman was absolutely glowing, dressed to the nines, and genuinely smiling. She looked like she was having the best day of her life.

No way did they look like they were here to get divorced.

Thinking they must be in the wrong place, the clerk politely said, “Excuse me, the marriage registration office is next door.”

Amelia just smiled, handed over her ID, and said, “No, I’m here for a divorce.”

Clive shot her a look, his face getting even darker. He slapped his own ID down on the desk.

“Amelia, don’t come begging me to take you back later.”

Amelia didn’t even glance at him. She just looked at the clerk, her smile getting even brighter.

“If you could please hurry up, that’d be great.”

The clerk glanced from Clive—who looked like he could freeze someone with a single glare—to Amelia, who was practically glowing with happiness. Still, he went ahead and stamped their divorce papers.

Before handing them over, the clerk pulled out two forms and slid one to each of them. “Mr. Salmeron, Ms. Sadinton, there’s something I need to explain. To stop impulsive divorces, the new policy requires a one-month reconciliation period. If you change your minds in the next month, just bring this form back and today’s divorce won’t count. You’ll still be legally married, so—”

He didn’t even finish before Amelia tore her form right down the middle. The pieces fluttered to the floor.

Outside, Clive spotted Amelia talking to Aiden. He didn’t know what they were saying, but then he saw them hug.

Clive’s eyes went cold.

Amelia caught sight of Clive coming their way. Like she’d just spotted something gross she wanted to avoid, she said a quick goodbye to Aiden and hopped straight into Andrew’s car.

By the time Clive got over there, the car was already speeding off.

“Let’s head back to the office, Mr. Salmeron,” Aiden said, totally unfazed, as he opened the car door for Clive.

Clive shot him a look and slid into the car. As he sat down, he caught a whiff of Amelia’s perfume lingering on Aiden’s jacket.
