Karma Doesn’t Sleep The Revenge Queen Rises novel Chapter 381

Amelia quickly shot a message to Selfhelper, reminding him to collect the money and pick up the car.

He still didn’t reply.

She thought it was a little weird, but honestly, nothing could ruin her mood today. Maybe he was just busy or couldn’t check his phone right now.

With the music playing, Amelia found herself humming along, feeling light and carefree.

Andrew glanced over at her, catching the way her smile practically lit up the whole car. In the soft morning sunlight, she looked so alive and happy.

He couldn’t help but think Clive was a fool. How could anyone let a woman like her slip away?

But just as quickly, the image of Ryan’s cold, intimidating face popped into his mind. Whatever little spark he felt instantly fizzled out.

Sure, any guy would be drawn to someone like Amelia. But falling for her? That would be asking for trouble—maybe even something worse.

Andrew had always been good at knowing when to play it safe.

He pushed up his glasses and switched back to business mode in a heartbeat. “Ms. Sadinton, after tomorrow’s shareholders’ meeting, the court will serve Clive with the notice. That’s when the custody fight with the Salmerons officially starts.”

Tomorrow, Clive would lose his spot on the board. Once that happened, he wouldn’t have the company’s lawyers backing him up anymore.

With Andrew handling things, Amelia actually had a real shot at winning custody.

Her only worry was what the kids wanted—especially Penny.

Just then, her phone buzzed. Timmy was calling.

She answered right away. “Hey, Timmy, what’s up? Aren’t you supposed to be in class right now?”

On the other end, Timmy was wearing his headphones, talking quietly. Penny sat right next to him, holding his hand tight, sharing the other earbud so she could hear everything too.

She caught every word—Mom and Dad were really divorced.

Penny hugged her stuffed animal even closer to her chest. Her round, dark eyes filled with worry and fear.

Momma Kristen had been right after all—her parents were really over.

That meant… her real mom, Amelia, was going to leave her behind.

Sooner or later, Amelia would have a new family and forget all about her.

Suddenly, Penny yanked out the earbud and shoved it at Timmy, then turned away, clutching her plushie and sulking in silence.
