Karma Doesn’t Sleep The Revenge Queen Rises novel Chapter 525

"I'm sorry." Amelia's voice shook as she apologized, struggling to steady herself. "Penny! Penny, where are you?"

Panic squeezed her chest so tight she could barely breathe. Then, through the crowd, she spotted a one-eyed clown standing apart from everyone else.

The thick face paint only made the clown's single, glaring eye look even creepier as it locked onto her.

He suddenly broke into a strange, twisted smile and lifted his hand. In it was a bow—Penny's hair bow.

Amelia froze. Her blood felt like ice.

That was Penny's.

Her phone started ringing nonstop.

Shane was calling.

"Ms. Sadinton, listen! The police tracked down Levi's birth mother. DNA tests proved the burned body wasn’t Levi. He used a decoy. You have to be careful!"

"Ms. Sadinton? Are you there?"

Across the way, the clown in red pulled out a phone and started dialing. Amelia’s heart dropped. She blurted to Shane, "Come to Ferris Wheel Park! Right now!" and hung up just as an unknown number flashed across her screen.

At the same moment, the clown put his phone to his ear.

This call was from him.

Her hands were shaking as she answered. "Levi, if you want me, fine! Just don't touch my daughter!"

"Then come over here, and don’t try anything stupid. If you do, I’ll rip out your precious girl’s big pretty eyes and smash them right in front of you."

"Okay... just leave her alone!"

She followed Levi, winding through the park and away from the crowds, until they reached a deserted, shadowy corner.

"Mom, help me!" Penny's voice was small and scared.

"Penny!" Amelia’s heart nearly burst. She ran toward the sound, only to see Penny standing there. Next to her, holding her tiny hand, was Kristen.

"You crazy bitch! You must have a death wish!"

Amelia grabbed her dropped phone and stumbled away, running as best she could. She screamed for help, but the only answer was the wind, Levi’s furious shouts, and the sound of his footsteps getting closer and closer.

The world tilted and blurred, shadows doubling until she could barely see. Amelia shook her head hard, desperate to stay conscious.

Her phone buzzed with another call. She could barely read the screen, but she caught the letter R.

Ryan.

If you can’t fight back, call me.

Tears fell before she even realized it. Her fingers felt numb, but she kept swiping, running for her life. She finally managed to answer.

Her voice cracked, desperate and raw, like someone clinging to the last bit of hope.

"Ryan, help me!"
